best way to glue tires to rims ?

any ideas on what glue to use:\

Best way for me - Beadlock rims LOL!! I can't get a good seal with CA so I try to upgrade to beadlocks. Not only less messy but you can switch out the tires for new ones without baking the rim/tire apart or getting acetone everywhere

Lightly sand the bead seat on the rim and the bead on the tire. Wipe em clean with a damp rag. Mount the tires on the rims, making sure the tires are seated right. Then I like to peal back about an inch or so of the tire to get the glue to the bead. I like gluing three spots at equal distances a part and letting them dry. Then go around and fill in the rest. It isn't messy or hard at all as long as you don't use an excessive amount of glue. Quality CA glue will flow right into the bead, basically doing the work for you. Let em dry for an hour or so before running.

+1 on beadlocks. No mess and my fingers aren't stuck together.

If you do want to glue make sure you use a thin set CA glue.

I agree with Hamz....if you're gonna use glue use the thin CA like super glue.....The thicker stuff for me doesn't stay glued very well.

I prefer the thin ca glue as well. It runs like water but man that stuff is strong when dry!

For my tires I use AKA racing CA glue. for me its the perfect viscosity.

I do like metalhead and use loctite gel control superglue the tip fit nice in the bead and you have to push the little buttons on the side of the bottle to get the glue out so when I put pressure on the tip sliding it around the wheel it flows out just about right

The thin CA works best for me because it wicks into the bead much easier than the gel.

Thin CA with the press in straw. The fit is perfect in the bead and easily runs around the whole bead in seconds and then dries. For plated wheels sand the chrome off of the bead before mounting the tires too!

HTH...
