i (hopefully) will get my force .26 through the post tomorrow and I'm not sure on how best to break it in. The way i usually do it is:
1 tank of tick over
1 tank 1/4 throttle
1 tank 1/2 throttle
1 tank 3/4 throttle
1 tank full throttle
then run it slightly rih for the first race or two

Is there a better way than that?

set your epa so you don't get over excited.

i normally 2-3 tanks at 1/4 and then the rest like you said.

the os takes longer to breakin due to the abl

what do you do on the 1st tank? Tick over? How do people get there cars to idel for the first tank of break-in? Sounds kinda like traxxas's.

I used the heatcycle method.

Do a search, theres plenty of posts on here

Look at the sticky at the top.

I use the heat cycle method for about the first tank to a tank and a half and then on the track she goes!

People might call you crazy, but I did that with my Sirio .27R in my Maxx. I was scared at first, but then, it started running better and better. Still haven't seen a drop in performance. Keeps itching for more.

i ordered a OFNA force .26 a week or so back and it arrived yesterday. I am using the heat cycle method of break-in and up o yet seems very good, it seems as though it gains more power every time i restart it.

Hey Jet.... have you ever had problems with this? I am about to break in a new .21 VSpec... and am a bit weary. Thanks

Tom

No, I broke in my stock V-Spec that way. It runs like an animal. Has about 3+ gallons through it now. Also broke in my EB Mods V-Spec like that and my RB Mods Ninja. Couple buddies do the same thing.

i broke my OFNA force .26 in using this method, its being a while since i broke an engine in so please dont think I'm retarded by asking this but here goes... i noticed today when pulling the pull start that it had lost alot of compression and was easier to pull the pull-start (and yes it does turn the engine over) is this right??
