I have about $250 to spend, i would like my rusty to be fast and have lots of torgue, so maybe new engine with pull start? i heard that the .18 fantom was good but i want one that i could just drop in without any mods.also any body upgrade that would strengthin and lighten? remeber all i have is $250 and if u could please list a site for the product.

Thats it right there to ligtn it up! Alot of carbon fiber parts along with aluminum parts. as for engine Ill stick with my stock 2.5 mill and get an aftermarket pipe(Traxxas Tuned Aluminum Pipe) I have purchased almost every CF/Aluminum parts they have!

Also RC-Solutions has a nice roll cage, look for a review soon.

i can vouch for the carbon fiber lot...a guy that goes to my track bought a stock rustler about the same time a i bought my rc10gt and then about a week later he upgraded to all cf stuff i drove it in both forms and id have to say that cf is ALOT lighter, easier to drive, more stable, and it jumps alot more balanced now.

The fantom .18 is an awsome motor but that would take up most of your money. Its a screamer though. And i also recomend www.rdracingproducts.com I have all there stuff on my rusty and havent had a problem with any of it! awsome stuff.

move the batterys up front under the front shock tower, may take some playing with to sort out. aluminum rear a arm brackets. <~~~~ a must. rd makes them, pretty much any rd part will help. better steering servo would do ya real good. big bore shocks are awesome.

you can go a few ways to make a rusty bad a$$. if you get an awesome engine like the fr 18 you will notice a major difference in speed but if you go real fast you might stress your parts to the breaking point......or..... you can go for upgrading the chassis. 250$ will go a long way in enhancing how a rusty handles. after you pimp out the chassis and such, it will be better suited for a stronger engine. just thought i would give my $$ worth.

I just recently got the big bores for my Rustler and they are a lot better than the stock shocks, you should diffinately look into them. For around $40 the Hitec 645MG would help with your steering. RD Racing has everything needed to make a nice Rustler I just bought some of there stuff for my two Rustlers.

I have team losi shocks IMO better than the big bores.

thanks guys I'm also ganna do the dremeling of the swingarms and stuff.

I also did that to my arms front and rear. I also took out my gas tank and did that. It doesn't much matter because if you look at my Rustler now its bullet proof.

the buse upgrades will come out of springs, oils, pipe, engine, eletronics, then go for carbon

i have a rustler 2.5 that i would like to sell. it has aluminum arms bulkhead front shock tower rear arm mounts and all aluminum hubs. also have rc10 gt with lots of rpm stuff
