hi, I'm gonna be running at some of my hobbie shops sunday races, and i was wondering, whats the best tire for old rough unpreped parking lots? I'm running a rs4 3 evo+ and i dont know if i should use slicks or tires with traction. if i should use traction, what kind should i use?

I'm not so sure about foam tires, the parking lots kinda rough and i think they would chunk.

A higher shore foam should be good. I have run 40 and 45 shore foams on unprepped parking lots and they held up well. Lower shores will give you better grip but they will chunk up fairly easily. Whether you run rubber or foam an unprepped lot is going to add excessive wear to your tires.

ok, kool ill try that, I've just heard that they chunk, and all I've done is buy the stock tires for parking lot bashing.

When I used to run parking lot TC (4wd touring car) we used to use rubber slicks.. Problem is, I dont think they even make the ones we ran anymore.. For 1/10 4wd touring cars, we used Pro-Line S3 (soft) low profile sedan slicks.. pn:1089 S3 (If you can find a current tire/compound that's similar to that, you'll be "stuck" to the parking lot course! ;) Good luck!

edit: I need to start looking at the dates these threads were posted on, before replying.. I'm just a weeee bit late on this one.. :hehe:
