I need a radio that is 27mhz synth.
No servos, no reciver, no nothing but the transmiter.
I will be racing
Two futaba servos, and a novak reciver.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

Any suggestions??????????????????

I guess no one usees 27mhz synth controllers. O-well:confused:

Why 27? it only gives you 6 channels to chose from. JR makes the XS3 in a 27mhz synth version. I use the JRXS3 75mhz synth radio and have been very happy with it, and I have 30 channels to chose from.

Sounds good to me but on my jr that comes stock with my storm (jr xs3). When i turn it on while holding the two left buttons(i was told thats how you change channels) i only have numbers 1-4.

[move]is mine mest up[/move]

[move]is this not how you change channels[/move]

Sorry for the html code(got carried away):sorry:

Thats how you select which vehicle you want. I guess it's possible the 27mhz XS3 only has a four model memory. I know my 75mhz XS3 has a 6 model memory.

The JR XR3 comes with the stock storm. Regardless of whether it's 27mhz or 75mhz the stock radio only has 1 - 4 presets. The presets are in case you use different rc's and you can save the settings for 4 different models. The JR XS3 radio allows 6 presets. Also for the presets you can assign different channels for different RC's. Both my Kanai's have synth rx and I will generally use ch 88 and my non synth rx's have chips for ch 69. I will be upgrading the non synth rx's to synth rx's. I believe Horizon Hobby is selling the 75mhz JR XS3 with a synth rx and a steering and throttle servo for like $250. Personally I like the JR XS3 because it's pretty user friendly.

So how do i change the channel on my storm?

[move]thanx for replies[/move]

Also do the servos that come with the jr xs3 strong enough to last on a savage(stock tires)?

You would do so by changing the crystals in the receiver and the transmitter.

Unless the Novak receiver is a synth receiver, in which case you would use a small screw driver to gently switch channels on the channel selectors and then change the crystal in the transmitter.

If you want to go full synth, Futaba, JR Racing, HiTec and a couple of others offer full synth systems...but they can be pricey. What is your cost limitation, if any?

And please, please stop using the moving text...it is annoying as hell.

LOL! Thats funny.

If you want to go with a great system that uses crystals,
I use the futaba 3 pk.
10 model memory. 75 MHZ
PCM FM. Very nice system

Sorry about the moving text. Just learned hoe to do it and was enjoying posting it. Can you give the links to a few different full synth systems.

Cheers

The Synth 3PK should be out momentarily. They just posted the synth TX Module and RX module on Tower. Should be posted here:

If you can hold out a week or so, I think you will be extremely happy with it. Especially if you dont mind laying down the cash for it. Very easy to navigate. Makes it more friendly to take advantage of things like throttle slope, different braking rates at different trigger thresholds. Well worth looking into.

Then again, Futaba might not start selling as a package deal ( I really dont see why the hell they wouldnt, but you NEVER know lol ).

Either which way, you could by each individually if you couldnt wait until they did. The TX, TX module and RX synth module. And Futaba is pretty good about putting out both a 27mhz and 75mhz radio setup.

Is the futaba going to be full synth?
And also are the pcm sevos/mode worth paying the extra cash for?

Last but not least any other suggestion(want to suck in as much info as i can before i make a decison)?

Cheers

I run HiTec's synth radios. They come with a Spectra Module for the transmitter and a Novak synth receiver. I have an older radio that holds a ten model memory with several extras. You might want to check them out, also.

Here's HiTec's Agressor SRX (synth radio...check the Monster Truck model which comes with their popular HS-645MG servo).

Here is their Agressor CRX and they have a synth version that comes without servos, so you can add your own.

Sky how do i change the channels on the srx?

Also can you give me a link to the synth version with the 645mg?

The synth version of the SRX with the 645mg is listed at the bottom of the page listing the SRX. It is simply a model number. You will have to find the actual radio at an online or LHS.

As for changing the channels, with any synth radio there is a synth module that replaces the crystals. Usually, the channel changing is either in a small dial or a series of pins that get moved. Regardless, it is rather simple to switch channels.

Thanks sky. I have got the parts i need. Now i just have to get the money. My b day is comin up:ha:

Just giving you another option to look at. Good luck and enjoy whatever you purchase.
