I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times before, but I admit to being too lazy to search 20 pages. SO...is it better to temp the glow plug, or on the block its self? I ask because when i had the savy out earlier i temped it in 2 places and had 2 different readings. The plug read 260 but on the side of the block where it's stamped it read almost 300. Hmmmm

Search you slacker!!! LOL JK.

Everything I've read says at the glow plug, which is handy since my IR lens is about the size of the glow plug hole on top of the cooling head.:)

ok, well then I'm running between 250ish on up to near 270 temps. Cool with me, no more panic attacks!

shouldnt you fatten it up some and get below 260...

It really depends on how I'm running it and how the weather is here. Recently it's been in the high 70's and over 80% humidly. With humidity that high I of course am running rich, but I've found that the higher the humidity is, the higher my temps climb. 270 is my shut down point though. If I temp and see it over 270, I dont care if i have only ran 5 mins, the rig gets shut down.

I found that during the summer mine runs around 260 to 270

If I run mine at WOT for a few passes, the temps will climb to 280. If I try to richen it at all it'll start to bog down. If I just stick to my normal bashing around my driveway/yard and launching it off the jump, it'll stay around 250-270. Of course the air temp has been mid to upper 90's with 70% humidity. Heat index has been 110-115.

At those temperatures I think I would rather stay inside in the AC.

O_O How can you say that? That's like saying RC's suck on here. OK, who has the tar and feathers? I'll bring the marshmallows.

:) You should see my Revo now, it's clean enough to eat off of. I did every cleaning imaginable... except for greasing the bearings. It's the cleanest it's been since I took it out of the box the 1st time.

You guys can fly over here in the middle of summer where the Temps are 115 in the shade...then when our monsoons are here we have the high Humidity (80% or so)
