thinking about new engine for my ntc3. needs to be pullstrart cause I'm too poor to buy starter box. anything would be helpful.

Mugen Mugen Mugen! .12 with pull start. You can't go wrong with this mill at all. HIGH RPM output with a low price tag. Reliable, easy to tune, and is a SCREAMER!

Mine is bump start but the same mill.

i would say that the best all around pullstart engine for an NTC3 would be the OS .15 CV-RX. This engine produces 1.2 real horsepower not like those over claimed numbers by the trinity mills, like the novarossi's. it is extremely easy to tune, and has amazing reliability, and a 2 year warranty. to top it all off, this engine is very reasonably priced!

I've seen a .40 in one. didnt look like too many mods to anything besides drivetrain. how tuff would this be to do. i can probably make a lot the parts or make others fit.

I didnt realize the 'R' series was coming with the 2 year on it. I know I seen it in an ad one time, I wrote them, they said it was in error, but, since it was in print, they would honor it. Whats even weirder, the ad's since, still say the same thing. Maybe I just got a nutty tech.

But NitroAddict is right about the tuneability of these mills. ROCK SOLID and easy to get right. However, the whole horsepower thing is real. Rossi and Mugen definately put out some stronger mills. No doubt about it. However, there is a price for that, not only in cash, but tuning it not so easy. Its not hard, just not as simple as an O.S. IMO.

christian - according to OS - the cv-r models now come with the same 2 year warrenty that OS is known for. this happened upon the release of the new TR series, which does not have a warranty now.

if i get a new engine for my ntc3, what are all those sg crank, long / short, etc etc?? shaft stuff? what does the NTC3 require? i have the RTR which came with the ae engine right now...

Hey nitro 110 the NTC3 will take pretty much all the diferent cranks you stated. Please correct me if I am wrong. You just have to cut a standard to make it fit. When you do decide to buy let me know if you are selling your stock mill.I am looking to get a hold of one. Oh yeah try out the 2 speed...it is a MUST HAVE!!!!

nitro - the NTC3 accepts both slide and barrel carbs, and uses a short (SG) shaft. it can also use a standard shaft, but u would have to cut it. It is NOT able to use a pilot shaft.

Sorry bout that nitro110 I am glad nitroaddict corrected me on the pilot shaft issue. Thanks Nitroaddict.WHEW!!

thanks guys

i already have the 2spd too

also, just wondering what on earth is a slide carb and what's a barrel carb? are there performance difference between the two?

also, what does (SG) mean?

I'm looking for a highend .12 rossi engine, maybe something like the
Rossi .12 NS12S3A1 3-port Rear Exhaut Engine-slide carb ...

Great question ..How about a great answer...anyone? I say novarossi ...?

i THINK that usually top end isn't much different from the different mills. torque is what really matters. if you want top end, just change to a highest gear ratio with your existing mill.

jon2 - most novarossi's are junk with the exception of the 8port turbo. The highest revving, highest HP output from a .12 mill is currently the Rossi .12 pixie Outlaw black.
