  1. Bashing
I just picked up an OFNA hyper 7 buggy with the 3 port hyper .21 that's tired and I'm going to replace it soon, my question is what do you guy think the best engine would be? I'm not looking to race I pretty much just bash and have fun in a sand/gravel pit I want plenty of pier for hillclimbs and something that is A. easy to tune and B. will hold the tune well.

The Hyper 7 comes stock with a .28 in it....Id find a Losi 454 and use that is your looking for budget...otherwise Id look at OS or Picco engines

Ya this one has had the .28 swapped out with a .21 price really isn't too much of a problem, I know that usually if you spend more for quality it will usually last longer.

I've got the nitrostar f4.6 on my hpi trophy buggy and its pretty much the same engine as the ofna force .28. It has more than enough power and torque for the buggy and holds a tune better than my picco .26 or any traxxas mill I've owned. With a gearing of 17/46 it also makes triple jumps into singles with no problem. I believe tower hobbies sells it new for $169.

If you can find a O.S. engine with the blue head go with that. I had the 21 motor but can not remember the series but very little tuning problems as it keeps its tune very well but that mill might be hard to find due to that OS might have discontinued that motor. Put about 6 to 8 gallons thru it with the bacis maintenance on it. Good hunting for a new mill.

HPI are now the distributor for the Hobao brand, not sure why OFNA isn't any more but did read something about it, can't remember where though, may have been on RC Tech.

I have a blue headed O.S in my revo, O.S 21tm, don't think it would suit a buggy though.
The Hyper 21 8 port was a good engine also, had that in my Hyper 7 PCR buggy, went well, easy to tune & held a tune really well. Got given a hard time & lasted for ages, sold the car & the engine was still going great.

Picco P3 .28 is really hard to beat at around 175 bucks, or the new Picco Boost 5TR for about 200. Craploads of power and will last a real long time. Much better option as far as dollars spent vs. power/longevity for a rig that will be used for bashing. No need to spend a pile of cash on a Nova or OS etc when you won't see any massive benefits.

Iv got the hyper 7 with the picco p3 21 race engine but my fly wheel is sticking is that prison lock please help ? The engine it 8weeks old tanks
