runt - they make the .15 version in a short shaft also, so no need to drop to the 12. u can if u wish though. Trust me, cutting the crank is extremely easy, and shouldnt be feared. but i agree, if u can get a short shaft version, why not? i had to settle for teh regular crank on my cv-r, as i wanted the 10A slide carb, and it isnt offered with the short crank.
