BEADLOCK FLAME Wheels

While I'm no metal expert I believe "T6 6061 aluminum stock" is pretty decent. However the price seems pretty fair to me, most aluminum rims cost around $100 or so for a set of rims and being these are beadlock I'd be willing to pay that little extra.

Unless your looking for the bling factor, I would just stay with plastic/nylon type wheels. They are just suited better for these trucks Thats just my

On the bend factor, this is a quote from them.

Description Description "GAURANTEED NOT TO BEND OR BREAK" "FLAME SET" OF 4 WHEELS. Our bead lock rim has the same unbeatable quality as our standard rims. They offer a 1" offset, adding 2" total width of the truck. they are made in three separate pieces for the best grip and ease of assembly. All aluminum, stainless steel screws for maximum durability. You do not need glue for these rims, they will not come off, even in extreme driving conditions. You are bidding on a set of 4 custom made billet aluminum wheels. These wheels are directional, so they have a right and a left side. They will not appear to be going the "WRONG WAY" on one side. These wheels are made from aircraft quality billet T6 6061 aluminum stock. These wheels will fit t maxx, e maxx, savage and many more. The c hub on the savage needs to be filed down just a bit for the wheels to turn from stop to stop right and left. They have a deep backspace to give your truck a 2" wider overall stance. These are by far the strongest and best looking wheels you can owne. I have a few other sets for sale on Ebay in different patterns. Shipping is $10.00. please view other auctions to save on shipping. thank you.

My biggest problem is the bend factor but they guarantee that they won’t bend but have no, well how can I say this (what will you do if they do) “ I’m sorry but we said that if you don’t drive your truck they will not bend” I would pay the price if I had some kind of money/ new wheel guarantee.

I guess those are cool if you have the money to spend but I sure as hell wouldn't run alluminum rims on my maxx...guarantee or not (especially the way I drive). For offroad I run the RPM Clwaz wheels with no foam in the stock T-maxx tires and they climb like a MOFO. Onroad the same RPM wheels with the proline Road rage tires and they hug the turns.

Peace

I agree with imnotsure. You tell me that you will replace them no matter how hard I bash and maybe I will buy a set.

i can tell you ... aluminum bends ... dont get it ... for 175 bucks you can buy A LOT of nice pairs of chrome looking wheels

My sentiments exactly, eventually your going to be T6 6061 alluminum period and is that company (assuming they're around) going to give you free replacement wheels??

I love my RPM wheels, why slow your car down by adding rotational mass to the wheels and tires....it's idiotic IMHO and purely for looks. Peformance first.....looks l8tr. I run my RPM wheels with no foam in the tires like I stated above and I jump the hell out of it and they still haven't bent or broken. If they do break RPM will send me new ones...no questions asked.

Peace

All things considerred, it looks as if this company has their poop together. To be mass producing rims of this nature they must have a lot at hand. So to run a damn good warranty may be a reality here.

Has anyone contacted the manufacturer to find out if the will replace them no matter what? Providing they were on your Maxx or Savage when the 'whatever' happened that is.

well I sent them an invite and this is what I got.

How can I respond back to the folk on the RC nitro boards. Some of these guys are a real jo0ke and some of them have a reasonable concern. WE BACK OUR PRODUCT 100%. IF THE WHEELS ARE ON THE TRUCK WHEN THE DAMAGE OCCURS, WE WILL REPLACE THEM WITH NO PROBLEMS. WE WILL NOT REPLACE WHEELS THAT HAVE BEEN PURPOSELY DESTROYED. HAMMER, VICE GRIPS, ETC.. I would love to have the opportunity to respond back at these slams. And why dont people just say it, I can't afford nice strong wheels so I run cheap plastic crap. Well price a set of maxximiser plastic beadlock wheels and then compare our quality. The quality can't be to bad. Associated bought our wheels and put there brand name on them. they are also still using our designs and alos our part numbers. I guess Associated is known for all of its crap on the market!!!!!!!!!!! And associated wants 99.00 for a set of 2 and they arent beadlockers. I hope this helps some. It helped me see where people with alot of free time on there hands are comming from.

Thank you

LOL....I don't give a phuck what associated is running and I sure as hell didn't flame the guy. "cheap plastic wheels", get the phuck outta here...I can afford whatever I want. I spend a good 9k+ a year on RC. Heavy alluminum as opposed to good strong vinyl/platic like RPM adds allot of rotational mass to your car...period. It's good to here that the guy backs his product (or so he says) but he needs to adjust his phucking attitude a little bit if he wants to be sucessfull and remain that way in this market. Everyone knows that T-6 6061 is strong but not the strongest and it can and will bend.

If you want aluminum wheels then those sound like the ticket for the price.

BTW...WTF does a beadlock do on an RC anyway application anyway?. I have real beadlocks on one of my 4x4's and I 100% understand it's purpose. TO run insanely low tire pressures for max traction when wheeling without your tires coming off the wheels from broken/striped beads.

I've said my peace

I agree 30%Nitro..........he made his point and says he will validate a warranty, but his attitude flat out sucked! Not really a good way to win over what could have been "potential customers". :thumbdown

Well that wasn't a real detailed post - care to expand a bit?

I agree completely - the guy has definitely made a point for me NOT to do business with him. Sounds like he is way to full of himself, someone needs to point him to the bathroom.

Sorry I was out looking for his real company website. Couldn't find one. Didn't see any links to his site on -bay either. Never saw any AE rims like that.

There are 3,000 small machine shops around the country that can make flat faced rims with just a single vertical machining center. Almost every one of those machine shops are struggling to get into something profitable.

It looks like they make a good product, but save me the warranty. With most of you guys jumping 10-20 feet high, or over houses, or whatever, there is now way those flat faced rims will hold up. 6061/7075 whatever, won't withstand that.

The price is good for e-bay. If you like them, buy them now. Once stores or another manfuacturer start cutting into his profit, he will have to raise his prices. I like his Iron Cross idea though!!
