battery packs for servos

I go through about 4 aa batteries every 8-10 tank fulls in my rs4. Its getting kinda expensive for me. I saw some 6v battery packs that are rechargeble, but I wouldnt know wich one to get. and what does the 1200 or 1100 mah stand for? is a higher number better or a smaller number? Or are there any other alternatives I can go with? Batteries are startn to drain my wallet.

While not the technical answer but in layman's terms, the higher the mah number the longer the batteries will last. You could also look into getting some better rechargables like these: http://www.nimhbattery.com/lm-pro415-23.htm

Those look like a good set up batteries to me. Compared to the battery packs I have seen on towerhobbies maxing out at 2000 mah, that I can find. How long do those batteries last and how long to charge them?

It depends on the application. I don't know the vehicle your useing, so it's hard to judge.

I run 5 AA 2000NiMH mah packs on my maxx with 2 hitec 645mg servos and on a warm day I get about 1 1/2 - 2 hours of play time per pack. On a cold day I get about an hour. By cold, I mean < 40.
