I have one of those intelligent pulse chargers that you can select the desired charge rate using the PEAK CHARGE AMPS adjustment knob. Pushing the MODE SELECT the amber DISCHARGE LED will light and the charger will beep three times to confirm single cycling is in progress. When discharge is complete, it will automatically switch to peak charging, confirmed by the red PEAK CHARGE LED and a single beep. This LED will flash when the battery nears peak charge, after which the charger will automatically return to slow charge as indicated by the flashing green SLOW CHARGE LED.

My question is when am I suppose to remove the battery from the charger, I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. How do I select what ampage to use to charge my packs. I have 3000, 3600, and 4800 7.2v stick packs. please help.

You can charge your 6 cell packs from 1amp to 6 amps you choice.
Remove the battery once it has peaked and the charger tells you its fully charged.

But thats my question, how do I know the battery has peaked, it doesn't say the battery is fully charged, it just beeps and beeps then moves to slow charging

I'm not familiar with that charger. Ill ASSUME when it beeps, its charged and is set to trickle charge till its removed. Do you have the manual for the charger?

Yes, doesn't say much, its the Duratrax mini pulse charger. Dont they make chargers where you plug in the battery, it does everything and displays "DONE", I want something like that! Go petaluma

Actually it doesn't, you will notice it says how to peak charge, how to slow charge, but there are no specific instructions on what is for what, when you should remove the battery, what ampage etc.

Once it beeps and switches to slow charge, it is done. Avg amps used for 6cell batteries is 5-6 amps. Feel the battery as it is charging. It should get warm but not so hot that you can't hold it for more than a few secs. Warm is ok. I am assuming these are the general stick packs instead of the ones you must buld (ie - venom stick packs) that are used for starter boxes or roto starts.
