Batteries?

I use the basic AA batteries for my transmitter. I use a 1400 Mah 5 cell battery pack for my receiver.

I had been using rechargable Energizers but I don't think they like to be fast charged. They were great when they were new but they just don't last very long anymore, nor do they peak when they should during charging. I've tried 2A, 1A... they are shot for sure.

I use the basic 8AA Duracell or Energizer Batt. And a 1500Mah 5 cell pack in the truck.

i also got some of those titanium batteries for my Tx and they have been lasting me a long time so far. i have a 5 cell pack in my revo that came stock with it. i do have an extra one if your interested. also you can get them pretty cheap on some sites and of coarse feebay

ok another noob question. I know about the light blinking in the transmitter but how do you know when the batteries are getting low in the receiver?

get a fail safe. it will apply the break in the event of low voltage. or when your truck is flying away from you with no control over your servos. thats another sign of batteries going low =]

also sometimes the servos will start to twitch when you turn the Rx on. thats another sign

electronic fail safes are pretty cheap. I use the OFNA micro FS in all 3 of my rigs. Has voltage cut off for the receiver (4.8V I believe) and signal sensing in the event that you go out of range or if your transmitter dies. It will apply the brakes at a setting that you determine. I have mine go to neutral/idle. I don't care for having it kick on full brake when things happen. Causes bad cartwheels if your in the air.
