Today the roads were finally clear enough to take the rc's out for some road bashing with my kids. I drove the 1/8 truggy, 15yr old step-son had his new RS4 3 SS, and let the 8yr old son drive the Stampede.
Everything was going well for about 3 tanks for me, 4 tanks on the RS4 and the 2nd battery pack for the Stampede and then Murphy's Law kicked in. Step-son somehow managed to snap his right rear wheel hub. 2 minutes later the Stampede snapped a right rear upper arm. I think I won the breakage of the day trophy though. Managed to completely snap my right front wheel steering knuckle at the wheel. Thing sheared right in half. Apparently 4ft. jumps off a snowbank ramp and landing nose first is a bad idea. Still not sure how I managed to split the rear wing in half
All told it's minor cost for new parts and the LHS has them all in stock. Plus I get to walk them through fixing things so they can manage on their own some when they head back home to Hawaii next week.
Anyone else manage to blow through 3 cars in under 5 minutes before?
