hey guys!
I'm buying this t-maxx from a friend. its got a xtm conversion and a pico .21 hyper 8 port. it WAS a nice engine, but its gettin to be over the hill and i geuss i would rather put a new engine in it instead of overhauling the origonal. so what would be a killer engine for this truck, until i can save for a sirio 27.:moped:
 
i would go with the XTM 24.7 standard...cost same as hyper 8 port, about 135$, but in my experience as i own both engines..the XTM has alot more power and is very easy to break-in AND tune, and will hold the tune. the 8 port has a little more rpm, but the difference isnt noticeable as the low to mid power of the 24.7 is very strong. BTW another great .21 size engine i own in that price range is the OS .21 RG, which out of the three is the most reliable and easy to tune. has some nice low end also. -peace
 
I run the OS 21 RG-X(P) as well. I really like it. Holds a tune well, has lots of low end power. High end is a bit weak though, but pulling wheelies and not having to rebuild the drive train every weekend is worth having a lower top speed.
 
hyper 21 8 port or the xtm pro 24-7. It has more power than the original its an awesome engine

Dude since we are talking about big blocks why not get the PICCO 26. It's a great bang for the buck and not too far off from your Sirio 27 and half the price. Visit www.nitrohouse.com and look for the engine I think they had it on sale for $169.00 or so.

Yep, bashing is a phucking blast when your equipment can handle the uuuhh "heat", but WTF does that have to do with your question?? Just giving ya chit bro but also curious..hehe.

I still have a NIP Siro .27 Pro that I did a trade on. If you really want the Sirio .27 we can work something out @ your work. I'll give ya a deal but it's still not gonna be "Cheap" by any means. I would seriously reco the kick ass and proven Picco .26 or it's clone the Wasp .26. The low and mid range power and general torque kicks ass on the Picco but it still has good top end to plese your high speed tastes. Either that or a good ole reliable OS mill.

bashing has everything to do with this question, kinda. see i dont want to bash my nice clean truck cause its realy not made for bashing anyways, but this truck i got from my buddy wow killer bash truck!!:whack: i think ill over hall the hyper 8 port for an"extra engine" but i will get a new engine as well. i definately want that sirio 27 30% but if that doesn't work I'm leanin towards the pico 26, or the xtm 24.7.:jester:
 
its a show truck!! i changed everything from what the pictures show, I'm running dace everything, chassis , bulks, a-arms, towers, the whole works with an "un-supercharged engine" lol.:beer:
 
lol thats the way i am i geuss, if tis dirty clean it if its not hopped up to the maxx hop it up! but I'm gonna break with my clean freak habbits with this truck and drive the hell out of it. :w00t:

Maybe a show truck, or a Race truck. Contrary to your belief there are other things besides bashing to this sport. Bashing for me is fun for maybe 20 minutes a couple of months with my gas powered cars. Mine are for racing, my Losi Mini T is my only basher. Point is we are all in it for different reasons.

LOL bro, I prefer to bash myself and I race with buddies for $$$$ from time to time. I have no intrest in any kind of "Santioned" racing (done it in the past) but many love it and it's understandable. I probably don't like to race ROAR as the possibility of getting spanked by a 12 year old would really phuck my ego up..hehe.
