don't be too sure. In a straight shot, I'm pretty sure of it but on an actual track, I've seen quite a few NTC3's serve pretty big peices of humble pie to the high end cars. It's all in the driving ability. The car is only as fast as the driver can drive it on the course.

Thats true, I can drive really good with onroad. For some reason I suck with offroad(savage), good thing they can run over curbs, lol.

i dont know guys i think i can take kwongs TC3 my rs4 is geared for high speed and has been clocked at 68 mph and plus thats an Accord how hard is that to beat! i run a stratus body a civic body but my fastest body is my CLK DTM

Is that the RS4 you brought to the park? If it is, that engine ain't cuttin it. 68 mph is a tough speed to get to. That's 1/8 territory. Bring it next time and we'll put it against my NTC3. Kwong and I run the same engine. Don't know about his gearing, but my race set-up is tried and proven. At best, it's in the mid 50's.

BTW, where were you clocked and how?

me?
i was clocked by some guy who had a gun and it said 67.9mph
maybe a car went buy i dont know lol

Hmmmm, if remember correctly, your RS4 has an OS 12 CV. Evenwith the highest gearing for speed, it won't take kwong's. Not even close.

Tell your friend to get his radar gun re calibrated and bring the tuning forks just to make sure right before your run. :boxing:

Hah big whoop youve got the fastest, baddest, most awesome car ever.. Its still nothing if you can't control it at such high speeds... If you have a 200MPH car (FOR EXAMPLE) and you arent the best racer in the universe.... Your car isnt going to go 200MPH... You need to be able to handle that much speed first. Unless of course you had the X-Dyno for RC cars.. Then you could brag :D

hi all i see you are building a fast touring car i have a cen. i have done some work on it now i'm hitting 109mph. can you all hang and i keep seeing that cen parts are hard to find not here. they are easy for the ct4.

yes we have had few who claim to go above 100 mph in your case being 109mph. now unless you have a video of proof or maybe a picture of the speed gun and car going by then most all members will think you are speaking from your rear.
Always thinking,

well golly....lmao.....I hit 167 in my NTC3+

This car will do well over a hundred and it is a labor of love. Below is
a list of some features.

What gear ratio are you using to see over 100mph with a torquey low RPM .21? That looks sweet but I want to know how it can go that fast with all that aluminum? What are the rest of us doing wrong? I saw a video of a SNRS4 doing 103 on a drag strip. It had an Italian .21 that was a long stroke for higher rpms and he had to use a 3 speed tranny to eek past 100mph. Kudos to you.

i'm running a sirro .27 11 port turbo motor 47'000 rpm. custom made bell gears and a two speed tranny. i had a radar from a friend who is a state patrol here in mo. clock me i'll get feed and send it to some one when i can. i recently busted my clutch bell gears they twisted in two. now i'm machining new gears again. i also am running taller tires. can some one tell me if i can get tires that won't blow up on me. i keep splitting tires into. are there any i run foam and rip them up in a heart beet.
tim

also can any one dirrect me to a tree speed tranny for a cen. i call the company they siad they stop the three speed for the ct4 and put the money into thier cen gennius three speed. theyb gave me a few tips on how to gear it up and then a friend who owns a hobby store gave me gears to machine and taller tires to be like a three speed because i have the power to also i want to add a supper charger to it. are they worth the 280 bucks.

the tires will be your achiles heel. Nothing out there is really made to carry that speed. I'm not doubting you because I have seen cars that will hit over 100+ on the web. Next time you atempt, please take some footage. It's one thing to see the magazines sponsor someone or attempt themselves to do it. Ok for them, they have unlimited resources. I wanna see a regular hobbiest attempt and succeed.

From what I hear,no, superchargers are not worth the 280 bucks. If you do a search you'll find that most people feel that force induction does not work in 2 stroke engines. personally, I wouldn't go as far as to say they don't work, just that they don't work as one would more than likely expect. Definately not worth the big dollars

Unfortunately, Fridge is correct. Too many "My car can do 80+mph" claims out there. I know my schumacher can hit over 60+, actually got it to hit third gear. I ran out of room real quick but still don't know what top speed is.

The problem is that people don't actually find out how fast their car can do, instead they judge the speed. And I can tell you, when I got my ntc3 up to 60mph (confirmed with my VSM), it looked like it was going about 80mph. And it's especially deceiving when the car gets very sensitive to steering inputs.

That's why a lot of people get bummed out when they find out they don't have a +50mph beast, instead a 30-40mph car.
