I was bashing thursday and my rig (LST2) just had front wheel drive. The rears want turn if I put it on the ground or do the back brakes want to work.I have not messed with it yet because my son is in the hospital but we should be able to go home tomorrow.Guess, I will try the set screws first.Any other ideas?
Thanks
:D

What size screws are in this rig??? My 1.5mm stripped 2 screws on the back brace trying to remove the diff I broke. But fit 2 on the rear skid, go figure?? :(

So I blew the diff in the rear.I have a new one from the XXL rig. What fluid should I get for the diff? Also where can I get some new screws?

I have the diff and screws coming. I hope to be back in action this weekend.

I run 50K OFNA fluid in mine on both my savage and my aftershock. Probably would steer a bit better with 30K all around... but rarely gets high centered when out bashing since so much power still makes it to the wheels touching the ground.

So taking the stock lube is a good idea?Or should I change it?And do you no where I can get a rebuild kit for the blown one? Thanks

they just have grease from the factory and it is a good idea to clean out the grease and replace it with diff fluid i run 10K in my rear and as for a diff kit you just need to tear it down and see what it needs i had a problem with the pins i kept snaping them so i replaced them with titainium drill bits ....problem cured and just so you know what pins I'm talking about there the pins that hold your outdrives in and act as keys in the diff gears that go to the axels hopefully that will make it easy for ya otherwise part#B3540 on page 4 of your owners manual:D

Thanks, I want to no what is the easiest way to remove the rear diff?I wanted a spare diff but have not removed it cause I cracked a rib.But by this weekend I will have my parts and some pain meds :)

Man, I broke 7 bones in the past but this takes the cake. It hurts to to breath, laugh, yawn anything. And you can't put anything on it.But I will survive. Thanks for asking.

Yeah, breaking ribs sucks. Busted a few a few times... never fun.

Taking the diffs out of the LST* chassis is pretty easy. Take off the skid and the hinge pin plate, then there are little retainers holding the diff in. They slide out when you remove the hinge pin plate, then the diff just slides out in your hand.

Depending on what you want to rebuild, it's more cost effective to nab an entire diff off Ebay for $30. Considering the ring/pinion new is $28.50 alone.

Then order these: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Shop/ByCategory/Product/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB3528

Will make your diff much stronger and longer lasting.

I will get that. I also got new screws a diff and a Team Losi rear skid that protccts the pipe and the chassis.I need smaller wheel adapters cause I like jumping and you said its a good idea. Where can I get them? I have a new set of 23mm.I would like 14 or 17.I got the XXL diff.

I got all my stuff today.I guess I will try to wrench on the beast tonight.I need some info on taking out the rear diff.Any help or links would be good to have.
Thanks, Wayne :)
