Mel, I just looked at 11 pages of some great art! Thanks for sharing these with us. What teqnique are you using for carbon fiber?

Very nice indeed. I fear I have ruined my keyboard from drooling, had to get a spare to finish typing this out. :)

Thanks! :D
Got another one here i still have to finish off.. just a couple more colors and i'll post it up

Beautiful shells, as always. Just wondering why you don't cut out your wheel wells before you paint.

most of the time the bodies aren't mine so i don't bother to cut them ..
but even with my own stuff i never cut them out .. makes it easier to use the liqiud mask.. less of a chance of me making a mess..lol
And thanks !

That's is a nice Slash body, love the paint scheme like the big boy stadium trucks. I have to ask, do you use anything besides the body scissors to cut out your shells? I have used some odd stuff on mine I painted.....it was rather caveman like to be honest, but it got the job done.

Nice work as always. :)

For the most part i let the owners cut them but for mine i use a x-acto to het a clean line.. but you take a chance of really messing it up i know i've done it myself..lol
but just rough cut it with scissors then use a dremel..

No kidding? Wow...I was ahead of my time...I rough cut it like you said, but ended up using a die grinder with a sandpaper flapper wheel on it. I'll be damned, lol. Thanks.

Thanks IB.. long time no see..
yeah i'm not to happy with it .. tried a couple of shading things and wasn't too happy with them.. and the first rip i tried with the shading and again not to thrilled but i guess it works the owner is stoked about it .
but i guess it's just the painter thing ..never happy with my own work.
to Rolex.. thats about as close to scale as i get ..lol
