I've been looking at these for the past few days and think that the xr-10 going to be the one. I am only 15 so I want to have something that i can afford to buy and keep running.

Msrp is about $300, but I am fine with that, but what are some recommendations for an esc (do i need two since it is MOA?), two 540 size motors, a battery (30mmx25mmx90 max size), tires, and a servo (no idea how much torque crawlers need).

You can use one esc. Go with a sidewinder,mamba,holmes.....to get started, 2 integy motors will do great. Not sure what turn these will like yet but I'll be running 40t handwounds on mine.
Punkrc dig is the way to go for your dig switch too.
And for a servo, u want atleast 333 oz. A hobbico cs170 will do the trick coupled with a BEC. But the higher the tq, the better.

Dont forget the 3s lipo with at least a 30C burst :D I love the 45T Integy motors. Punk RC is the best dig switch. I had no problems with the sidewinder or the mamba max.

Thanks for the info sng. I'm not sure if I want to total all of that up for my wallets sake.

Can I use a cheap lipo like a turnigy?

I've seen some of the lipo chargers with outrageous price tags, is there something to fit my budget?

Yep I only run Turnigy's anymore because of their performance and price.

So here is what I have so far,
45t integy motors
castle sidewinder sport esc
chisel tires w/ memory foam
turnigy 1300mah 3s 30c lipo
I have both a radio and a servo that I can use.

I'm probably going to be buying some of the stuff used to save some money. What charger should I get for the lipos and should i use one of those fireproof bags?

A lot of the guys swear by the Turnigy charger. As far as the bag, I would say better safe than sorry.

Looks like your off to a good start, but for tires i would recommend some of the Soft white dot Hot Bodies Rovers, they just plain work in most conditions, IMO they hook up better then the Chisels, As for a charger a simple balance charger will do the job and can be picked up for about $20.

I love siped chisels, they hook on everything.

I agree with the white Rovers I switched away from them a couple times and kept going back.
