Hoping to pick up one tomorrow how was it stock
The Ryft, stock, is squirrelly, and likes to flop over on it's side if just ripping around on flat ground. It's a great kit though. I love how beefy rhe transmission it. It looks strong enough to rip a 1/5 scale buggy around.

I really wish Horizon hadn't done away with the kits. One of the funnest RC's I've built to date.

I agree with Kevin, in the stock format, it's a bit of a handful. We built two units, one as a crawler and one as a rock racer. The crawler build listed here is quite impressive. If you want to make it a go-fast machine, it needs some tuning.

Devil is in the setup details for sure. LF springs on Tekno MT 410 shocks keeps this thing glued to the ground.
Will add to my wishlist.

Yeah, I have Vitavon followed on ebay. I haven't done anything to our Ryft since building it and 3d printing a roof for it. The only reason I printed the roof is because the very first outing, it took a bad flip towards the parking lot and skidded on its roof, scraping deep enough into the cage to get past our fancy dye work. I couldn't stand looking at it, and wasn't about to try to re-dye another part to match. Let alone pull out the required 673 screws to remove said part. So the 3d printed roof was actually done faster than I could replace the part 🤪
