Hi on my manual for the axial .28 1s spec it says for the break in to open the throttle 1/4 manually. This is the part i dont understand. It says to "adjust the throttle servo so the engine runs fast enough to idle without engaging the clutch or turning the wheels."

what does this mean?the only part i understand it to open the throttle 1/4 manually.

I also only want to break in the engine on what the manual says.So i dont want to heat cycle it or anything else =p:D

basically what it wants is for you to adjust either the linkage or the trim so that the mill revs without the car moving anywhere via the clutch engaging.

sorry but wat does a mill mean. Also i still dont get it dont get it.Doesn't the clutch always move?

Turn up the idle as high as u can without the truck wanting to move is basically what it must say. You can use your controller to turn up the trim it will be easier then with a screw driver

correct me if I'm wrong

Mill= Engine. and yes the clutch will always move, you just dont want it to engage. go fire up your truck, turn up the idle on your radio untill the truck starts to creep forward, then back off of the trim a click or 2 untill it stops moving

The clutch only engages when the engine is providing enough RPMs for the clutch to engage, basically centrifugal force.

So just set like a 1mm gap in the carb with the electronics on and that should be enough to allow your clutch to spin freely.

I highly reccomend you watch Squirrelod's break-in movies on youtube.
part 6-9 is the parts i think you should see.

Goodluck!

oo now i understand. But why does it say to open the throttle servo 1/4 open?

That is after you get it started with carb 1-2mm open; by opening throttle 1/4th means just start reving 1/4th of your remotes trigger when your breaking in (generally 1/4th would be first tank),

also i sugguest 2-3 second bursts of doing 1/4th throttle, then gradually go to 1/2 throttle bursts on the third tank.

Watch the temps though! best to keep it between 190 to 210 during breakin. I also sugguest slowly leaning out after a little bit.

after you get the engine broke in set your idle so the truck dosent move and turn the HSN {high speed needle} counterclockwise just like a half a turn after you get it tuned right this will be richening your tuning set. and you should be set. this is how i run my axial .28 in my Tmaxx 2.5 BB edition and may i ask what is this motor going to set place in? Whitch vehicle

[TIP]= ----- always run your engine rich and around 225 degrees this will make the engine last longer

id only suggusr 1/8th of a turn counter clock wiseand just dont let your engine go above 260
