I figure that's 90% of us. A company called "Bidfuel" took 39.99 out of my bank acct. today. I called the number and they quickly claimed to refund our money and close the acct. that we supposedly signed up for by clicking some trial B.S. link.
I chattted with E-Bay live help and they determined that Bidfuel is not affiliated with and is using E-Bay. E-Bay security has been alerted and they are taking action, so I was told.
Now my wife has to get a new Visa check card....she does not use E-Bay.... I do.
Bidfuel customer service had her name, her card #, her tel. #. BUT they had a bogus E-Mail acct.
Anyways, watch your bank accounts for this crap. I check mine everyday, thus why I raise hell at my wife at least once a day.:hehe:

Exactly how did they get her information?

Did she enter it after clicking the link?

Good question! My wife is pretty damn good with our computers security and such. ALL my E-Bay fees and such go thru paypal.
She did not click a link nor did I. Only one more person to talk to, my 10 year old stepson. I doubt he did it, he knows he'll be grounded forever and a day for stuff like that. He's terrified of losing his computer privelages. That and I'll find a million other ways to make his life miserable.:D

That is the only way I found that they can get it.
They send out crap e-mails to people that link them to the paypal sight. Saying stuf like "you need to log into your account to finish some unresolved issues" or other things like that. And they come from Ebay in the form of "I just submited a Ebay claim against you , You must click the link to log in to resolve this, before it goes any further.

I'm not pointing this to you Rob. I am mearly letting people who are wondering what we mean, And to let them know that there is a big risk of getting these e-mails. If they use Paypal or Ebay.

Ok Ok . yell at me now for my bad a$$ grammer. LOL I am having a very bad day. :P

Oh and one other thing they do. Is get on messengers such as Yahoo and Msn and pretend to be a friend and ask personal questions. Like they have forgotten who you are.

This just happened to a friend of mine. They hacked thier friends account and used it to ask the questions.

That sounds like the most likely scenario.

I hope at least one person reads this and avoids this crap.

Speaking of crap. Has anyone seen the attemps that the craigslist users try. LMAO OMG They don't even read your add and send you a E-mail. Stating that if you give them all of this info that they will send a driver to pick up the items. Because they just moved or something.

I'm glad someone else seems to take this seriously. The E-Bay rep specifically told me "They are not a legitimate business."
We gave them nothing nor did we click on a trial offer. I'm so sick of these kinds of scams. They fiddlesticked the wrong guy, it is personal now. They are located in Fl according to the info I got. If I can't sick some kind of law agency on them, I'm personally going down there for my money...

Best of luck to you. Unfortunatly these people get away with this day in and day out. I hope you grab them by the boo boo and hit em where it hurts. (Their wallet)

Oh I know, but they screwed up when they left detailed info on my bank statement.
When i was browsing E-Bays forums I found I was not the only one they got. That's why I posted this here.

Well bidfuel refunded me. I still think they are full of poop.
