Well I am trading my chevy for the truck i really want. A straight axle toyota. This one is a 82 4 speed with the 22r. Lifted on almost new 35's and almost new rims. Only thing it needs is a timing chain. No big deal. I had to buy a used tranny and new torque converter for my chevy so i will spend this weekend putting it back together and hopefully trade next week sometime. I will be taking out the toolbox and the lights off the fenders and the headache rack off along with the bed rails. I hate all that stuff lol. Anyway here are some pics :)

Good luck! That's a lot like the 81 I had but I ran 38's. The 22r is easy to work on too so it shouldn't be a problem for u to change the timing chain.

I had an 82 with 35's on man do I miss that truck. It took what ever I threw at it and was all dented up. I wish I had some pics of it. Have fun with it. Only issues I had were the timing chain and frame rot being up north.

Well looks like I am getting the problems out of the way then cause nothing rusts here haha.

figures you are from cali with that dash-carpet. :)

looks good. with a little work it would be great.

I had an 82 with 3" lift and 35's, lots of tire hum and it rode like a tank but it was one heck of an off road truck!

Well I got it! Had to change the timing chain but he bought the parts so its cool. I took the toolbox and headache rack off. I still need to take the KC lights off the fenders though. Here is some pics of it and pics of the progress with the timing chain project.

Not really sure yet. He said the shop told him all the cylinders had 155. So should be good for awhile. These 22R's run forever.

Don't introduce that beauty to salt. I had one, until the rear springs went up through the frame. Truck was alot of fun though, and ran like a champ.

I have no intrest in living anywhere that has salted roads or near the ocean so I think I'm good lol.

I had a 22R in an old Rusty Celica. Drove the crap out of it until the driver's floor board fell out from rust (damn Kansas winters). It was a blast to drive with the 5-speed.

timing chain project is put on hold until I get my other oil pump drive gear. I had it all together and realized the belts dont line up.... GREAT the oil pump drive gear is shorter when going from a single roller chain to a double.... duh.... So I had to take it all back apart buy new gaskets now I'm waiting on the gear. Should be here tomorrow I hope.

Got her goin! Gotta get it smogged now and registered then she will be on the road! :D Here is some current pics. I had to find something to crawl on in my back yard haha.

YES THE DUMB KC LIGHTS ARE COMING OFF!
