Ok, so I gave this thing a chance. I was looking for a simple tough basher. Arrma senton 4x4 mega. Simple, brushed, arrma tough. Could not drive for more than a minute before the steering gets locked up with rocks. I spent a few hours making a custom cover to prevent this issue but it still remains. Small rocks will still come up into the front holes by the steering and cause lockup. I have been out of rc for a while but this seems like terrible design for a new expensive rc car. Now I will throw out a few hundred more dollars for something that may hopefully be more
Durable. Suggestions appreciated.

If you like buggies, convert it to a Typhon 3s, I have never had that issue with the closed Typhon body. But the Senton isn't garbage, your driving area just isn't ideal for an SCT. My cousin's Granite 3s doesn't have that issue just like my Typhon 3s. The Senton is pretty low to the ground and the body deflects rocks and other junk back into the chassis.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just so frustrated with this thing. It does seem like swapping to the typhon parts is the best option. If only I knew this before I bought it, I would of course bought the typhon. I only chose the senton over the typhon because I thought it would handle rougher terrain. I did not think I would need to buy a bunch of conversion parts just to run it. I have not heard of any other sct having this issue or any other rc car at all. I am curious do all other sct trucks need ideal conditions to run? I do not doubt the quality of arrma vehicles but I do doubt the design of this one vehicle. I can not make a qualified opinion of arrma as this is only my first arrma vehicle. It seems like some love them and some hate them. I just wanted to share my experience for anyone who may be looking into buying one of these.

I have a senton myself, (granted it's a 3s BLX 4x4 brushless 1/10 scale) I haven't had any issues. but like pug said, its low ride height makes rough terrain unideal, I usually run mine In the sand, road, backyard, etc. and it's taken a beating. i am working on ways to get more suspension travel tho~
