Limitless grom! Vendetta grom!

@Hammer Down what combo are you using in your grom? I’ve seen people using the Mamba Micro X2 combo with a 1007 motor and people are also using the Mamba Micro X2 combo with the 1010 motor. Which do you think would be better as you are the Micro king!!

Hey Luke,
I’ll get back to you later tonight. Been crazy busy!

@Lukedavis Both my Grainte and Typhon have the 1007 6350kv, which is the lowest kv available in that size. They both run a stock tooth count pinion. The Granite requires a bit of chassis trimming to fit the 1007, and the Typhon I had to remove the fan. The Mojave is a bit longer and could easily fit the 1007 and probably retain the fan.

The Granite is almost uncontrollable on 2s with the stock pinion. So much in fact I had to add some expo to the throttle just to keep it from flipping constantly. A wheelie bar would probably help..

The Typhon with a stock pinion on 2s is actually pretty fun. Its longer wheelbase and lower CG handle the power much better than the Granite.
I honestly couldn’t even imagine either one on 3s. 😳

I finally recived my Mojave yesterday and gave it a rip around my basement track. It’s definitely my favorite of the Grom’s so far! 👌 It’s actually really fun in stock form and I feel like I’ll ruin it if I put the same combo as the other two. I still need to try it outside, probably tomorrow, but I think I’ll wait on upgrading much for now, as its a blast as is. 😁

All that said, I don’t think the 1010 is necessarily unless you plan on setting some land speed records… 🤷‍♂️

I gotta get these two Mojave's. I love the wheels he put on these in the video. Bet they'd be a hoot on a small track.

@Hammer Down maybe try a bigger pinion in your Granite? Our 10th scale Granite is pretty squirrely too. But one thing funny about it is it always seems to end up with it's feet down.

And the ESC can handle 4S....

Played with my stock Granite Grom yesterday and it was a blast, was going to play with the Typhon Grom too but forgot to put batteries in the transmitter. really itchin to pick up the Mojave Grom, but still waiting for the credit card to cool down a bit first.

I want the Mojave Groms as well. Both of them. These just look way too cool to not have them.

I think I’m gonna get a Hobbywing 16BL30 esc and a 2435 6500kv motor or the 4500kv motor. I saw a video on YouTube of a guy with the same setup in a typhon grom and on 2s it was intense

This video?

Looks like an excellent cheap setup! 😎
And yes, the mamba micro can handle up to 4s.

I may have just "accidentally" ordered a Mojave Grom on Amazon, I was weak and had some points to spend.
I reacted to this one way, but really I feel the opposite about you right now.

Guys, anyone who is thinking about upgrading their Mojave Grom to brushless, read this. I just bought the Hobbywing 16BL30 esc with a matching Hobbywing 2435 4500kv motor yesterday, put it in the truck and started driving around and immediately the shaft on the motor snapped clean off. The guy at the hobby shop said that everyone they have sold that motor to has snapped the shaft in the Grom. Please be aware and spend your money on a different motor or just go castle Mamba micro X2 with a 1010 or 1007 motor. I also found an XTEAM 2435 4500KV motor on Amazon with super good reviews and guess what!!! It has a 2.3 mm shaft so you can use your stock pinion. Just beware when buying that Hobbywing motor
