Hi guys i took my arrma granite 4x4 mega 550 down the beach. I was wondering if sand will damage the motor etc? Is so how do i give it a good clean to remove any sand?

Blow it out with air or vacuum it out, although a vacuum wont get it all out. If you wash it out with water, make you sure you dry it with air and then clean and oil the bearings and motor. If it is all stock, and you ran it anywhere except asphalt and concrete consistently, i would recommend shielded bearings in the hubs. They still need to be cleaned and oil periodically, but they wont rust up or fail as quickly as the stock metal shielded ones will. You can either buy complete kits from Jim's or Fast Eddy's, or just buy what you need for the hubs.

Clean out the brushed motor with compressed air, sand kills brushed motors due to their vents. Make sure to get every nook and cranny with an air compressor. Buy a spare bearing set from here or here since bearings get destroyed by sand. Follow what @biggman100 posted above first.

I agree with an aircompressor. If you go in the water, wash with fresh water.

The ocean has salt which will rust steel, ie bearings, screws, and brushed motor can and internals, so oiling as mentioned above wouldnt be a bad idea.
