Can anyone who builds/drives these shed some light on them for me? I am thinking about getting a car, TC3 probably. I have been strictly off road so far, but they look appealing to me. I just don't want to get one, get bored of it and have to get rid of it.
My other option is a 1:8 scale buggy. What do you all think? Especially if you do both on and off road.

Thanks
ND

I just started off on on road. I like it, especially if there are a few racers out and racing, but if it is you by yourself on a track, it is boring for me a bit. Well at that too I kinda just started, but I enjoy sitting there, and just driving the course. Now I am looking at tweeking it out... they are kick-a** for speed! I love driving mine especially since I have played video games all my life.
The speed THE SPEED MORE MORE MORE!!!! The bad thing, I have gone through 4 sets of tires in 3 months, a gass tank, a mill head, Diff. cover, body, 5 gall. of nitro, and a radio system.... kinda costly! I am really hard on them! But the car is a great one, I have the NTC3, it was the RTR, not bad! NOT BAD AT ALL!

On-Roads are FAST...but it gets old real quick unless you're actually racing them...

I run both. I have a Nitro RS4-3. And a Maxx. I really enjoy both of them. 2 different beasts. Get in a big, clear lot with a touring car and it's like piloting a bullet. And if you can add a few friends, it's a blast. Perhaps it's a bit more limited than off-road because you're not jumping and stuff. But just blazing around at full tilt is a rush..

I too have an RS4-3 and a Maxx, Candyman summed it up perfect!

can't wait for the weather to clear to get my TC3 hooked up. I've driven other peoples but this is my first for my own. They are a blast if your looking for controllable speed. But yes, it will be more fun with others.

We have a crew that gets together every Sunday at a mall and run in the parking lot, plus, a hobby shop sponsors onroad parking lot races throughout the warm months as well. So we have enough places and people to run, making it more exciting.

Maybe Candyman will drive up for a bash fest followed by the onroad fun one of these summer Sundays.....

Alas Christian, I just may. My brothers live in Rochester and they have nitros. I promised them a visit this year and who knows, perhaps Buffalo will be in the cards. I could use a crowd to bash with. As far as I know, I'm the only one in my tiny-ass town with RC. Dude, that sucks!

Totally agree with all the previous threads with this to ad.

On a touring car you have the tweak factor. If your just bashing it you can have a lot of fun but what intrigues me is the ability to tune every aspect of the chassis. I have spent entire days at the track adjusting the suspension to get it to do exactly what I want it to do. You go from 5-6 adjustments on an off road to 10 or more on a good on road RC. Every 1/64th of an inch and every smidgen of a turn with a screw makes a big difference.

To me, this is the fun part.
