forcast says rain. Wish we could have met today. Today was awesome for racing. To bad I had to work :(

today its 63 and sunny out at home. and i just got in all my parts to bring my rides up to 100% now I'm just waiting on a fuel shipment, I've only got 1/2 a gallon left.
 
Just got back from the track...there is still a little snow in some places, others have puddles. But when I went to walk on it, I sunk down about 2 inches in mud :( So..as you can guess, it's in pretty bad shape. Looks like more rain this weekend too. BUT..the dirt field and trails around the track are in excellent shape...that's where I did all my running today.

Sorry no pictures this time...forgot to bring the camera with me. I'll still be down for Sunday if anyone is going.
 
What's around the track exactly & is it enough space?
 
Around the track is a very large open area...I'd estimate about the size of 2 or 3 football fields at least. There's a large dirt pile, which they use for maintining the track...was making some nice jumps for me today. Then there is a large sand pit area down one of the trails.

The track is located in the Mahlon Dickerson Reservation. The land is actually an old abandoned ski resort that was in use back in the 70's.

You can see in this picture, a corner of the track, and a small part of the field. I'd say the area is at lest 5 times larger than what you can see in that photo. Now from where the person is standing taking the photo...behind him is where the trails start, and that leads to the big sand pit.

Great. So at least if the track is muddy, we can still bash.
 
well guys, looks like i can't make it. a good friend of mine just found out yesterday his wife is pregnant with thier 3rd kid. so my next month of weekends will be spent at his house getting it ready to sell to they can get a 4-5 bedroom. also the impending rain doesn't help things much.

bring cams and take lots of pics for us guys who can't be there with you.

There will be plenty of pics & vids. Sorry u can't make it. Congrats to ur friend, as I am expecting my 3rd child.
 
Wow team, didn't even know you were pregnant. What did the wife say when you told her you were expecting? LOL.

Anyone still planning on going to dirtrunners in the morning?? If so, the track is pretty much a pile of mud right now..it's been raining very hard all day, and supposed to continue on to tomorrow :( Odds are I won't be running. But if anyone is coming up still, just let me know, and I'll make an appearance.

It's my falt. so far every time I wanted to go someware on a weekend, It rained. figures :shrug:
