The parking lot is gravel mix of rocks and dirt so you won't wanna run a touring car up at the outdoor track.

I may be up for this bash if I can get the day off from a new job.
Will bring:
HB Stadium
HB Lightning Pro 2
Ofna Ultra comp
All on FM 82 or 64

Hey guys, April 9&10 we are having our first work days to get set for the outdoor season. The more people we have the easier it is to get stuff done. Dirtrunners will supply food and drinks for anyone that comes out to help. Many of you may not have raced there. But if you just go there to bash you could still help us out. We have a lot of stuff that needs to be done before outdoor season starts 3 weeks later. Any questions, I can be reached on the Dirtrunners cell. The number is 862-268-1632. Looking forward to meeting you on the 9th............WAYNE

I won't be able to make it. But our Team will be racing on your opening day.

I'll try to be there, If you guy's don't mind a :n00bie:. Savage 25/ FM78 and Ofna Ultra GT/ FM74

Hey...first post, to this forum..so take it easy on me :)

I'd like to meet up with you guys that day if you don't mind. Fairly new to nitro, have my T-maxx for a couple of months now.

Just so you know...as of today, the dirtrunners track still has some snow coverage, and we're supposed to get another 1-3 inches tomorrow :( I live less than a mile from the track, so I can keep you updated on the conditions if you'd like.

Looking foward to learning from and contributing to this forum.

Rich

Bringing T-maxx (synth)
Mini-T (hopefully synth by then)

Yeah Ice n snow r comming down now. Hopefully it will dry out soon.

Jeep...I work near the Rockaway mall...small world... I'm glad "someone" of us has been there before. I STILL havent gotten off my phat azz to go there, and I'm so close. grrrr

Anyway, how far up past Picatinny is the road to Dirtrunners?

MP7.5 FM Synth
Savage SS FM Synth
NMT AM ?? (if I can get a body bought and painted by then)

The track is probably about 15 minutes past the Arsenal. Follow 15 North, then take the Weldon Road exit. Keep going on Weldon road untill you think you passed the track, then keep driving a little farther :) A good landmark is to look for the Mahlon Dickerson Reservation signs...you'll pass 3 or 4 of them. Then as you start going down a nice hill...it's right there on your right hand side. If you get to Jefferson HighSchool...just make a U-turn. The HS actually shares part of the parking lot with the track.

I've got about 6 inches of fresh snow on the ground right now...Tomorrow I'll go and take a couple of pictures of the track and post them...just to go and do it.

I read the rules. They say nothing about 1/8 scale buggies.
Can we, or can't we??
Also they have issues with oversized tires.
Will this be allowed??

I believe those rules posted on their site are pretty old. Last times I raced at Dirtrunners was at the end of the 2004 season and 1/8th buggy was not a problem or even a question brought up. Basically I raced in 1/8th gas buggy and my HB Lightning Stadium in the Unlimited Truck class.....hope that helps clarify things.

I does help a little.
Do they have a class for 1/8 scale buggies or just for open truck, and everyone is on there own?

there is a 1/8th scale buggy class and the open truck I believe is the Unlimited MT class. The track catagories for racing gets interesting as they also have circle track for MT that runs around the whole outside of the offroad track.

WOW! That sounds interesting.
I hope the snow melts.

This sounds like it's near Sparta.

It is near Sparta & they do have 1/8th buggy class.

It's right next door to Sparta. The track is actually in the Mahlon Dickerson Wildlife Reservation in Jefferson. My house borders the reservation, and I'm in Sparta.
