thinking about getting some of these clutch shoes. i have the towers and love them dearly. anyone use these and if so how does the holes in the shoes work.

which set screw holes to use for what type of engagement?

can someone give me a thorough of how these are set-up for
quick/late engaging
hard slamming wheelie take offs
smooth and quick pick-up?

seems to be the nicest ones around as i can find.

I personally woln't use aluminum after seeing how much more maintenance they are compared to carbon.......but just in general I think the outer screw holes would give the shoe more rotating weight making it engage later...the heavier the shoe the later the engagement.....using no screws would be the quickest engagement.....but as I said the maintenace on aluminum shoes is too much IMO.....you have to check them about every 5 tanks at most and deburr them so they don't mushroom quickly.....use carbon shoes and save yourself a lot of time and hassle and money.....I did see the 6 post sliding clutch setup on a MGT that I thought was pretty cool, but it was pretty new....I'm waiting to see how long the shoes last on those.....

from what i see, there is only one mounting hole and what looks like threaded holes for installing various grub screws to increase the mass of the shoe. A lighter shoe will engage later than one with more mass.

Interesting set up...

I use the nova aluminum shoes and love them. I don't use the threaded inserts and never had problems with these shoes on any of my nitros. The only carbon shoes I use are on my Werks 4 shoe racing clutch set up.
