I just purchased a new Dx2 Spektrum setup with reciever and the Z270 Standard Race Servo and Z590 Hi-Torque Race Servo and was just looking for some feedback on the setup from people in here.. It will be going into the Xb8. Anyone running this setup?

The servo's will be a little (alot) weak. The 270 for sure won't be any good on the buggy, the 590 may satisfy the throttle/brake for a short time but you might burn it up. 1/8th's need lots of torque for braking and steering.

The radio will be identical to a jrx2i. Good quality stuff, but like jet said the more speed/tq for a buggy the better!

I have good servos in the buggy already. I was thinking I could maybe use one of the servos in the crawler, but by the sounds of it, Ill just give them some time on the shelf..lol..

Thats probably what Ill do. Kinda weird that spektrum would put out midiocre servos. I thought spektrum was suppose to be some of the best equipment out there.

I got my Dx2 setup today and was curious about the antenna on the reciever (A SR3000). Its only maybe 4-5 inches long.. Whats the best way to mount it? Can I cut a antenna tube a couple inches short and mount it that way? It didnt say much in the manual.
Also another question that wasn't covered in the manual I thought Id ask about, Is there a built in fail safe on these units?

yep theres a built in fail safe in them. I installed mine into my revo and i keep loosing signal though?!
