Update
Well, it was the spider gears. I replaced them and the output shafts. I got it running yesterday, and had all of about 10 minutes run time when I hit a bump and it tumbled end over end. I was running it without the body, so I could watch for driveline problems. The result of the crash was a broken receiver. Man, if I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all.
By the way, I'll try to get some pics when I have it running again. It's nothing special, just a Nitro Rustler with the 2.5R engine, but I love it! It's a wheelie monster!
