Anyone running 2.5 in Nitro Rustler?

Update

Well, it was the spider gears. I replaced them and the output shafts. I got it running yesterday, and had all of about 10 minutes run time when I hit a bump and it tumbled end over end. I was running it without the body, so I could watch for driveline problems. The result of the crash was a broken receiver. Man, if I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all.

By the way, I'll try to get some pics when I have it running again. It's nothing special, just a Nitro Rustler with the 2.5R engine, but I love it! It's a wheelie monster!

seems like your slipper is a little tight, I did the same thing you did with my old rusty and their is a huge diffrence in power. I kept busting drive axles, My slipper was set for the .15 that didnt have near the torque that the 2.5 has. Somone out there may know of a good gear combo to help this and get a better high end with it. Glad to see I am not the only one that tears stuff up.

the o.s. .12 in mine has too much power for the chassis to handle and yet i have no driveline troubles, try one of those.

look at your spur gear.. i have gone through 3 so far.. also today something happened with the engine.. this morning it was running fine.. broke a spur gear.. got a new one.. and after i changed it.. the idle was all messed up and it wouldnt stay still while idling.. anyone know what happened?
