Nice shots Northlander. I am a freelance photographer for Speedway Illustrated magazine. Unfortunately I can't get to as many races each season now that I moved back to FL from NC. I was doing about 15-18 cup races a season. I love racing photography.

One of the advantages of race photography is the ability to get in close to the action. I will probably doing the whole CORR series next summer. There are never any dull moments in offroad racing.

nice art slothy i also do black and white and have some similar idead shots. can't put on cause my scanner doesn't work but thats ok

thanks.. mine are all digital - Nikon D-100..

if i was shooting film id go broke lol

I'm thinking of selling my work to pay for this hobby that will not stop until I'm broke. if you want any of them ill try to post pics. got a savage in air. its panned and looks like a close up lots of photos with tennis balls to create intresting art .

Dude nice shots slothy. I always wanted to do some race shooting but never got around to it. I want to totally unlock my digicam. It's probably not the most expensive one out there. However I do beleive that you don't need a totally expensive camera to take good shots.

nope, its nice having interchangeable lenses though.. I do some stunt shows (street bike, and some times your pushed back some for safety, so Your stuck using a long lenes (200-400mm), which as far as i know no point and shoot can reach that far focal length wise.

I've seen some landscaps/macro done by $300-$400 digi point and shoot cameras that are outstanding..

Well hey for $200.00 plus the cost of a better memory card I honestly can't complain. I might try to get some different filters for it. I of course know my cam isn't near the quality of even a cheepy 35mm that you can change lenses on but I know it can take better pics than I take with it. Later

Heres a few of mine I still had on the hard drive.

what kinda equip ya using ? just picked up a 70-200vr and ordered the 12-24dx

A Canon EOS 1-n, with a 70- 300 2.8 ultrasonic lens. I am trying to save up for the 1-D body, but these damn rc cars keep eating up my money, lol.

Yeah looks like you all have some great pics there and are using better equipment than I am. None the less I will still try. I do have to say this is turning into a nice little thread. Kind of refreshing from all of the regular R/C stuff. This picture is of the one of the mest sunrises I have seen in a long time. I missed the sun by only of a couple of minutes but it left an awesome sky. Later
