I live over by Skokie, anyone close to me that wanna bash the parking lots sometime? Getting boring just watching my car go round and round. :arrr:

What town Jeep? I go to Notre Dame high school parking lot to play, pretty big, but it's get's boring when your by yourself. Where do you go?

31 miles away from Skokie. Do you happen to find any race track around?

ONly place i know is Hobbytown USA on Oakton and Milwaukee. Haven't been to the track myself but my brother sees them racing all the time.

Dekalb, IL... about 60 miles west of skokie.

There's a indoor and outdoor onroad and a outdoor off road track out here. I've only gone there to buy fuel since all I do is bash.

I think it's called AJ's RaceWay or something close to that.

50 miles from dekalb :depress:

The only hobby stores that i know of are:
Tom Thumb which is located in Evanston, Il
HobbytownUSA which is located in Niles, Il
VentureHobbies in Buffalo Grove , Il

VentureHobbies is prolly the best place to go. They've got a crapload of parts, cars, and misc. parts that break on the regular. It's just a long drive from where i live. HobbytownUsa has a track, but i've never seen it myself.

There's Al's in elmhurst as well. http://www.alshobbyshop.com/ It's a really good store.

That store s*cks. I hate the attitude those folks gave me on my first/last visit. I will never go there again. The shop I'm going now ( La Grange)is much smaller but I pleased with their customer service.

Your nuts... You like the old cranky guy in lagrange over Al's?

Actually, your right, their attitude does suck, but their prices on most things are pretty good and they carry a lot of parts.

Actually, after taking the time to sit down with the old dude in lagrange and chat with him, he's relatively pleasant to talk to. He just can't stand stupid kids.

Yeah that old dude is cool. And it is true that he does not carry alot of parts, and I didn't know he can't stand stupid kids :P

Maybe I was one of the stupids kids one month ago.

So which shop you go more often now? lagrange over Al's ?

Any other good shop without driving an hour?

Sorry, not that I know of. I actually only go to al's when I need something during the week. I live in dekalb and work by brookfield zoo. It's an hour for me to get to work.

I actually go to hobbytown in rockford whenever I plan on making a large purchase or if the weather is to crappy to run the rc's. It's only 45 minutes away.

I'm from chicago moved from there 3 months ago i was right by skokie . i was at central & elston. but any ways als hobby shop is the best around they have tracks but not at the store. go in there and ask where tracks are i believe they have a few of them. pm me if u need directions. i also fly in every few months i would love to get up with u guys and bash around. olds97 i love to bash with you!

if you guys decide to get a date to bash ... i will do my best to show up ... maybe bring a few of my buds with also ... depending on schedule and place ...
