What are your plans with it? Looks like not a bad car to start with but a lot of plastic to relace with CF if you are planning to race.
I don't own this kit so its just opinion. No idea if the car is good 'stock'.
Have you looked on youfool for any videos? They might be helpful.

I don't plan to do any racing. I just want to build a touring car, admire it on the shelf, and occasionally take it out for a drive down the road or in a parking lot. After building the B7D, I have a tinkering to try out some of the other Associated offerings.

Sadly, Losi, Assiciated, etc aren't what they were back in the day. But at least Associated is still not owned by Horizon. Though they are owned by a Chinese conglomerate now. But it is a cool looking truck, and I imagine it's better than anything Losi sells these days except for the race stuff. But that is fizzling out too.

I would be looking at an RC10L for Associated on road.
Def a different chassis design than what you've picked out. The RC10L chassis is absolutely one that put Associated on the map BITD. You can buy CF chassis versions and parts are still around.
Maybe it'll be another re-release soon. 🤔😎
I don't think I've heard anyone complain about the RC10L chassis. Ever.
You still need to find a Hoonicorn body to finish off the 10L chassis tho! Such a cool looking car!!! 😍

A rally car would suit me better than pure on-road. That is what I like about the associated apex 2. I can put a rally kit on it

Here's some rally cars. Is the below associated ccar the one you were talking about?

Little more at $370.

The associated listed is the style I'm looking for, but I mostly want to build it from a kit. The Carten looks intriguing, but I worry about parts availability. I absolutely love the looks of the Datsun, but I would love to build it in kit form. I'll take a look into some of the Kyosho offerings. I here once you get some JIS screwdrivers they assemble well.

Don't worry, by spring there will probably be even more choices. 🤣
I do this to myself every winter. I am a busy body, so during the dry months I am always outside doing stuff around my property, but Washington winters are so wet. I get restless... in the past 3 months I have built a Tekno MT410 2.0, the Vanquish H10, Associated b7, and am working on the SCX10 Pro...

The Hoonitruck / Hoonicorn kit version already comes with some carbon fiber parts and threaded aluminium shocks. The diffs are the same as on the B74 series, and the chassis is G10 with polymer side guards instead of a fully molded polymer tub.

I think it’s a good kit for what you get.
