Hey, just wondering if anyone had a myspace. Couple of my friends that are girls were like, pat get one. I was like no, myspaces suck. Then i got tired of it so i made one. they were the first ones to comment LOL. Post links to yours if you have one.

Look, I'm not picking on you specifically. I think the whole concept is just plain stupid, personally. Maybe it's because I am older now, but I like to believe I'm not that detached from the younger set. I'm sure I may have said and felt the same things, but we didn't have the internet or PC's when I was 14, so I guess my "deep-thoughts" were limited to those few folks around me, versus the entire world!

as for the from pennsylvania, it is FROM, not lives. I was born in pennsylvania (dont know where) and i moved when i was like 2. I now live in minnesota. Sorry to make you so pissed off mw. didnt realize it was that big of an issue for you...

I was at the Dew Powersports tour and they had a myspace booth. Picked up a flier, red it, and threw it away. A few weeks later this HOT girl that's sitting next to me said she talked dirty with a kid on myspace. That just about killed everything when it came to myspace...I would join, but it's just for horny people who want to talk dirty and think they're girlfriend/boyfriend. Another reason is because you don't know who's behind the screen. Could be a man posing as a girl. Anything could happen.

Alright, i have to jump in here. I have one. Also, I have very few friends on there, and they are all older. No one under 21. I post articles that I write, philisophical stuff, political, humorous (to me), and such. But I am VERY careful who I talk to and who I give information to. It is a great way to talk to people, but I know for a fact that there are a lot of predators, sluts, whores, assholes, morons, etc there, also. My hobbies do list r/c cars, actually. Also, I am not the only "old" person on there, a couple in my freinds list are over 40. A few are artists/photographers, self-employed business people and such. Trust me, I weed out the morons pretty quick.

In that case Valk, I can definately see sophisticated individuals using the place for what it was meant for. I can almost guarantee on the other hand that Mr. 19 Year old Pennsylvanian is just trying to get some cyber gropeage.

My wife also talks to some of her co-workers on Myspace.com, most I hate to say a re idiots but I have seen some decent postings come from the place.

Is it worth checking out Valk? for the "older" folks?

Well Pat, point taken regarding the differences between where you live and where you're from, my mistake.

But, and I can't believe I'm actually asking this question, do you REALLY not know where you were born? Have you heard of or seen a document entitled "Certificate of Live Birth"? It also goes by Birth Certificate, if you were struggling with its official title. Personally, I could care less where you were born, what scares the poop out of me is that, at the ripe and wise age of 14, you don't! I've seen a handful of posts you've put up, and you certainly do like to come across as knowing a lot, but to not know where you were born? Jeez, that might be the most pathetic thing ever.

Nah, it's not that you joined your little virtual circle jerk that pissed me off. Like I said, I'm always up for a good laugh! What pisses me off, though, is seeing young people like yourself acting as if you have all the answers and lipping off to folks, then finding out tasty nuggets about you like knowing the person you'd like to meet most is anyone that isn't an butthead and now knowing that you don't know where you were born!

You're a 14 year-old poser trying to grow up faster than you need to be. You act like you know more than you do, and end up proving how little you do know. I'm not going to try and give you any advice because you wouldn't accept anyways. Thanks to your little reality tour, I know a lot more about you than I probably wanted to.
