Anyone have a enduro24? What kinda mods you do?

I'm kinda glad you're sharing this thread. I have alwsys wondered what can be done with the Enduro24. I'm definitely going to grab on one of these days. Maybe next sale.
I was wandering also, so started looking into it more, I was liking what I was hearing, plus I’m kinda into making the black sheep compete with the best, I don’t know why I am. Lol
This little truck does well, really so far what you see is, wheels and ties and a few home mods.
$57 for truck used almost new, $22 rims, $20 tires,
Only in it like $100, and would bet this thing competes already. Bought some extensions but the nuts were wrong size so waiting on another pair, and definitely changing esc. Furitek pro.
But haven’t purchased yet. Will probably get the Ecopower servo since Wickedfrog really likes them. And keeping motor, I’m up in the air about that still. People seam to like Enduro24 motor over SCX24 once they are hopped up, but that is their opinion.

Lol I'm too new to this stuff didn’t even realize I was talking to wickedfrog. 🤪
Midnights, 😶‍🌫️, I love my job. Lol
I had it out on the rocks in the landscaping and this thing crawled up the rocks I use for my 1/10 crawlers when testing them out, I really can’t believe what these little trucks can do. I thought since the small wheelbase it was going to be very hard to modify. I was wrong, pretty much the same as 1/10, just very small. Now I need more to compare too. 😂

Put springs back on and playing around with preload

Ok just going through my rc junk yard looking to see if I had a micro servo, and came across the esc and the receiver/transmitter for my Everest 10.
So I had to put it in the Enduro24 just to see if it could work. It did, and here is what it looks like. Not keeping it like this but now I have a slow crawl with no jumps at the start, made it heavier but has no problems on 2s, yet. Also started taking paint off of body for a repaint.

I would probably go with a Furitek ESC in it.

I just stumbled onto this
https://furitek.com/products/furite...-enduro24-atlas-6x6-cr-24-rgt-rc-crawler-1-24

Supposedly that fits the Enduro24.

I find it funny that it says it fits the Atlas 6x6, but doesn't list the FCX24. I was under the impression all the FMS trucks used the same transmission.

Regardless, I'm not sure I'd even mess with the motor/trans on this truck since it has a pretty cool setup in it already. I just found that and thought it was interesting.

What are you stripping the paint with?

Acetone, works great stripping paint. Any paint.
Definitely going with the furitek esc, I will keep motor and tranny for now, it is pretty good, just tinkering around and had to see once I found it the Everest10 stuff. Lol. I'm a little nuts with this stuff.

It's easy to get hooked on these little trucks. I've always had a love for small scale anything, but it was better when I was a bit younger, because this small stuff gives me fits anymore. I'm still getting ready to start a 1/32 scale build regardless. Lawd help me!

I’m might tomorrow put the 1080 esc in. And a dumbo receiver. A lot lighter and lower profile. Got to get this on the rocks first to see what Everest 10 esc can do. 🤪

1/32 crawler?

Know what you mean, I took these shocks apart three times now and the little pin to separate the upper and lower is very small, lost it twice now and had to use a magnet to find it both times.
Can’t even imagine 1/32.

I played around with mine yesterday, put a set of tires and wheels I had sitting around from one of my Deadbolts on it. Tried adding wheel weights but it bogged it down really bad so off they came. I was looking at the servo and yep it hits the front pumpkin when the front suspension is compressed. I may try to put a spacer in there.

Got paint stripped, well mostly, was kinda cloudy. Will probably add to the look of aged, sun faded paint? 🤔
I will take a pic once dried. Should have took a pic to show how cloudy. 🙄
Went with black, kinda looked like my dad’s truck, so went with that. Wish I had red, I ran out.
Oh well, first body for the Enduro24. In black, coming soon. Lol

That's kinda funny that it has that horn clearance issue stock. But let me ask you this... does it hit if you only compress one side? You shouldn't ever see full compression of both shocks enough for it to really matter, unless you run a lot of droop I guess

I just have to wonder why they didn't move that servo up a smidge when they designed it. But easy fix.

Have you guys seen the Charisma 1/24 trucks?
Carisma 79368 MSA-1E 1/24 Scale Coyote Pup 4WD Ready to Run, with 2.4 Ghz KD Propo Radio https://a.co/d/bFjXJk8

My truck is going to be low, at least at the moment. I guess I just like that look. Lol
So servo was a serious problem, but now steering linkage hits, I will be modifying that too. Probably just putting rubber o-ring on btm of shock, so it acts like a stopper. Just barely hits, just like the servo horn. I am sure something else will arise once I do that. Lol
Saw those Carisma’s 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Just something else to add to the list. Lol.

Everest 10 esc and receiver works good once you get wt distribution right. But sometimes seams to cut out on steep climbs, furitek and the 1080 will definitely be better. Knock on wood, can’t believe I didn’t break something, put it through a pretty tough test, With all the extra wt, I took springs off back and left them on front, worked pretty well with how it climbs. Bottomed shocks out in front anyways. Does good but I know it can do better.
So if you have one of these trucks and have an Everest10 esc/ receiver laying around this is definitely an upgrade from stock, if you have an Everest10, that esc and receiver are somewhere, everyone replaces that in them. Lol
Now to see about 1080 esc.

Just want to see your opinions, 1/24 scale,
Do you think it is better going light with it, or make it heavy.
I have had both work for me with different trucks in the past.
The Enduro24 probably light because of plastic gears I would assume.
I am going to have a few different models in the end.
SCX, FMS, Carisma, ect.
Just trying to see what people are doing, wt. wise?
Also, why isn’t anyone talking about traxxas 1/24, haven’t really looked into it yet.
Just realized no one is talking about them.

Think about it this way. Gravity is the deciding factor. The heavier the rig, the more gravity is trying to pull your truck down that vertical incline. At some angle, gravity will always win over tire traction. Finding that maximum angle you can avhieve through mods, moving weight around, different tires, etc is a lot of trial and error. And every setup will be different. So to answer your question, there are too many factors to know. But I would say lighter is better, because gravity would affect it less. But heavier also adds traction, moreso at shallower angles. So the only way to know is through trial and error.

Light as possible while still having enough weight down low to keep it planted. Also depends how scale you want it to look. I have two 1/18 Traxxas TRX4M's they are nice rigs, They are good if you want to keep everything scale looking. Their hard bodies tend to be a little top heavy. But they are great looking rigs.
