My steering servo on my revo has gone hay-wire.

The damn thing works for about 10 seconds perfectly, then stops completely!

It's a HS5645MG Hitec servo. All the use this servo has seen was break in (5 tanks) It's almost brand new.

Has anyone seen this before?

Yep been there done that...Send it back to hitec
they will send you a new one no questions ask.
You can down load a return paper on there web site.
Call them first. And tell them whats up Most of the time they will send a new one and after you recive it you can send the old one back.

Hopefully so. Are they bad about receipts? My LHS doesn't hardly give them out.

Depends...I am sure I can get you a receipt. If needed.
You LHS should have a record of the sale.

Hopefully they'll get it straight with my LHS. I called them and they have to call the LHS about it.

Is this your first digital servo? I thought mine was broke too, and then I realized that they just require you to have an absolutely, totally, completely charged battery (peak charged 6V pack same day no letting it sit charged for a week), or they will just sit there and do nothing, maybe hum a little bit.

My other digital servo in my savage works with that pack without a problem. IDK
