well sort of....I have an Old Losi that was the last electric I raced like 15 years ago...it's RTR but I'm having a terrible emotional battle w/ giving that up to him.....I think he really liked th esound of the engines cause that's what got him outside whenever I started mine up.....right now he's staying at his grandmothers (parents are dinks to the extreme) so I have a lil time...I can't ask him if it's ok to sell the car so I'm just sitting tite...I figured I could sell the roller on e-bay for a parts car and put whatever I get from that towards a new/newer kit or roller......somthing simple and easy to work on.....maybe an ST......I'll take another look at the engine tonight and decide if it's really worth it......and THanks Digger.....I'll post what I need and see what we can all come up w/.....

Hey Plaid,

I will also do what I can. I don't have much, but I am willing to do what I can to help you help him. Just let us know man.

Tom

I tried running it like that and it's just screwed.....the thing won't go straight at all...it pulls to one side, I had a roadie friend help redo the rear and set it up...the chassis is like a plastic wrapped in something to stiffen it...when you RWD it, the chassis seems to flex in turns and makes it track straight.....I dunno what it is, but it's not gonna drive right.....I've been tinkering w/ this thing over 2 months now and I'm just frustrated as hell every time I go outside w/ it....I don't feel too bad about not having it ready to run yet since I'm pretty much just tearing all mine apart and rebuilding em now too....I'm pretty much down to bashing my TC3 for a few weeks while parts come in......I know once I'm outside running mine again that will change quick..LOL...

hey plaid this is what i found. all they ST's were already yoinked so i'm limited to on-road. 2 hpi rs4's each missing parts but if you look closely, you can see that one seems to have all the stuff the other is missing. i found some wheels with slicks on 'em too. might work. the only thing really obvious is the engine mounts and electronics. i assume the engine you've got works already. one of 'em even has aluminum arms on it.

Dude you da Man....I PMd Beason back earlier..I'm not really gonna be phone available til saturday....we can talk then.....I appreciate the help here man....

Looks like those 2 can be salvaged into 1 good ride. Should only need a couple small parts. The only thing that stands out in my eyes is that they both have a 2-speed tranny so you'll have to make sure you have the 2-speed CB.

yeah, i mostly just saw little cheap parts that need to be found and they should be readily available. another good reason to go with the rs4. TONS of parts. you diggin those arms?:naughty: don't know why somebody dumped that one without takin those off. better for you though, i guess.

Good luck with it Plaid.
Let us know how it goes. Both with the car and the kid.
