@DavidB1126 i just found this on the fb page.

“There will be no dates i assume until all inspections are passed. This is not like your normal underground RC facility. 90% of rc track we have seen in the tri-state area are not officially open for large occupancy (legally). Most of the track outdoor are illegal and most of the indoor i have seen are illegal. (No Fire Inspections ,Insurance or Occupancy") First state being in a major shopping facility will have to follow all rules and regulations of the state and county. I am in the airsoft and paintball industry and my customers inspections will sometimes take years for them to get fully open and certified. If they tell you a date it will just be inaccurate and cause more issues. It's all based on every inspection. Electric , fire , plumbing etc. and you work at county and state inspector pace. Once you fail something you have to pay someone to go redo it and then call inspector back. I have nothing to do with first state other than a customer but i just have seen this many times over my 15 years of doing this type of stuff. I am sure the owner of first state who has my guess 200 / 300k invested in this project wants the place open more then all of us , so he can stop paying rent for two facilities and start to recover some of his investment. The positive news is once this place is open legally it will be open for a long period of time and it will look professional as the smaller facility has.”

I’ll be there for sure. Not this weekend but next. Hopefully they post an actual schedule soon. I'm hoping Fridays will be for buggies and Saturday's will be a full race program.

as an update my mom is going to show me everything that’s in the duffle bag for my slash this weekend and i’ll tell her what to keep and what to send, i’ll then have to get a 13.5t motor and each for it as well prob do the same set up as my buggy with it electronics wise

No 4wd Mod buggy?!?!

Can't find a track that is willing to race 4wd Mod buggy on carpet. The factory said that they don't allow 4wd Mod since it is "unsafe to marshal" 🤣

Was hoping to bring out my uncle someday for racing. No wonder why he stopped RCing. No one locally runs a Mod class. Same thing with 4x4 SCT on carpet. 🥺😭

Dude I’m sure you can find a nice 13.5 for like $50 on FB marketplace. Put the ESC in blinky mode and you’re good to go

this was there post about it I may have exaggerated the cost but yeah I get it, it’s expensive to have to pay for maintenance to keep racing View attachment 205018
So is this track trying to race ONLY SCT and mini cars???
I'm not trying to put it down but I own none of these and am not particularly interested in running them. I wouldn't go to this track if this was the case.
I don't know anythimg about how the holes happen.
Is it screws digging in on landings or from bad landings or something else?
Would better, stronger carpet be an option?
Was it installed poorly?
40 holes in a carpet that is designed or r/c racing seems really excessive to me.

I think eos/ets carpet is stronger than black crc but not so sure.

At the old old track which switched to crc carpet, if there were any holes we would just simply patched it up and send our cars. We weren't competitive like that. And at the last day they were open they were sending 8th scale buggies around that track lol. The old track used grey eos carpet and for the 9 months we were running, carpet was in great condition. It was just defective I think since the carpet fuzz and strings were insane. Eos carpet has more traction than crc, in my experience at least.

not even short course trucks they specifically said stadium trucks so I imagine that’s more of the old truggy style not wing, the holes in comments were supposedly just bad driving and doing jumps that couldn’t be cleared and then cart wheeling and the shock tower probably grabbing it
