Asking for a friend his HPI rs4 MT electric met with a curb head on today and snapped the front part of the chassis completely in half. They don’t make a chassis for it anymore since it’s a vintage rc. Is there a way to repair it?

I've seen guys use banding straps and screws to repair a snapped chassis. might help not sure. http://oldrc.com/HPIManuals/hpi-manuals.html

maybe a sheet of G10 get some carbon fiber and some time on a jig saw? a vacum jig is always handy . I used pond liner from local landscaping co that has drop(discharged pieces..vacuum pump and adhesive.. then cook it..

You can bind carbon like fiberglass. However, it will never be as strong, unless you build it up. However, that will just make the chassis thicker. Your best bet would be to get some carbon sheets and make your own. You use carbon fiber the same way as you use fiberglass. Just make sure you use at least 3 layers and you sandwich it between two pieces of glass with weight on it. This will give you the smooth and flat finish. To trim it, you use the metal cutting blades. I use a router, but you need to know what your doing while using one.

No cause it’s the old rs4 monster truck electric

You can still make a carbon replacement, but you will have be creative. I don't have enough time to type out the directions on that one. Your best bet is Ebay, Craigslist, Offerup, etc... I also depends on your location.
