So my dad and I got this boat a few years ago from a buddy and it has collected dust since we recently pulled it off the shelf. It needs some simple body work but the main concern is the motor.
Here's what I got now...
I hooked up a typical 9V AC adapter to the motor to test it out. It works, but it really doesn't make any torque. I could rub my finger on one of the spur gears and stop it rather easily.
I have no idea what kind of motor or ESC setup would work well in this thing. It's going to be the "rescue boat" for our Americas Cup boats and also to just have fun with when there's no wind for sailing.
Any suggestions?
