Just a tip for newbs like my self
Well the other weekend I screwed up a receiver trying to install the wire into the tube. I tried oil and it didn't phase it at all. This next time around I figure I would try something a little weird for a change. I went down to the local hardware store and found some fience wire that would barely fit into the tube. I shoved this all the way through cleaning out the tube of rubber from the antenna I screwed up. Then I went over and found some 28 brass gauge wire. This stuff is very thin and should be easy to slide right through. So I bought it and headed home. Once I was home I cut a pice of this wire more than long enough to fit through the tube. It went in and through pretty dang easy. Then on the one side I spirialed the wire around the antenna wire. It was pretty simple after that, I just pulled the wire right on through with zero issues.
