i got my o.s. .12 cv-rx engine in today to replace the stock .15 engine on the rc10gt but the shafts are totally diffrent i was wondering what ya'll would prefer or the best solution. the os shaft is threaded all the way but the stock rc10gt was threaded half way and the rest was smooth and the slit for the clip at the end...should i take out and would the .15 shaft fit on the os? or do i have to buy the nut that screws the flywheel on with the slip for the clip at the end? thanks..

ps the shaft is a long shaft might have to cut.

will any clutch nut work? thanks

Yes you do have to cut it. Buy an AE cut nut, thread it on the shaft, using a dremel cut the shaft, remove the nut, which will clean up the threads. Then just bolt up the rest of your parts, clutch nut, clutch, clutch bell, flywheel and collet.

thanks thats what i thought there was no clutch nut with the old engine so i wil have to buy that along with a new clutch bell cuz the old one was to smallf or the new os shaft
