I've seen more RX8s that look like the CC in the pic. Any ESC will fry. All electronics are subject to failure at some point, and most ESCs are pushed to their limits creating an early demise.

I don't know whether I want to give castle another shot or go with a vxl esc.

Ya I dont like em either, I had a flux hp sc go up in flames and now a mm... using them in their limits and in the first 20 mins

Woo thats nasty, never new the esc could go up in flames lol.
my brother had the esc go up in smoke on his HPI savage xs after about 3 packs

How long is castles warranty period on there esc's? I have been running this one for about 2 months now.

I thought it was 90 days. Call them. Don't email, you'll never hear back.
