lol, fugly is right. still cool but damn.

Not to shoot to the obvious point and all, but should a crawler based ride have a COG in a different zip code for Heaven's sake? That thing looks like it will roll over if it has to climb a grain of sand...

I usually like the Unimog scale rigs, but I'm not into this one at all. For one thing, the Unimog body doesn't look very scale, and it has the appearance of a toy rather than finding it hard to tell if it's an RC or a fullsize rig on really big rocks.

Candyman, the center of gravity is definitely off, but it's for a reason. Tamiya builds their RC's to be scale, and they aren't build to perform. They're basically built to look good, just like most of Tamiya's kits. To get the CR-01 rover to crawl decent, you pretty much have to completely redo the entire suspension configuration. That's why things like COG and other things that make a rig comp capable aren't paid attention to by Tamiya, they are focused on building rigs that look scale first, and performance is further down the list.

Anybody notice the mini tamiya boxes in the back? Thats my favorite part :hehe:

I think its a cool looking body, perfect for a 1.9 build. I wonder if it will fit on the CC01 based rigs?
