For a couple of weeks now I've been shopping for a computer case for a new build. I just put in my first bid on this one on FleeBay.

BBBBad to the bone, with excellent reviews.

nice case ..hope you get it ;)....are you going to have a liquid cooled system in that puppy ?? my buddy had that in his computer ..but he took it out ..was more trouble than it was worth ..his computer ran cooler with the normal setup...

hey ??? where are the shiny thing ??:hehe:

I have to wax it first. :hehe:

I've been looking at Asus mobos. Any other recommendations?

I'm at $55 on ebay for the case. If I don't get it there, it's only $109.
I can also get a buy it now for $95. It already comes with LED fans.

I was thinking of liquid cooling, but I don't know yet.

That case is niiiiice! And I'm not a fan of liquid cooled systems. That's just me though.

And as far as mobo's go... They have so many viable options these days. I'm partial to Asus but a few other companies are starting to catch my eye.

i never had any problems with asus products ..i also prefer AMD cpu over intel ...my personal computer always was AMD ..right now i have a phenom 2 quad core on an asus board and its pretty hard to slow that puppy down ..considering its a few years old now :D

and yes ..i recommend staying away from liquid cool ....it looks cool and make people talk ..but thats all its good for if you ask me ...i laughed when my buddy asked me if i had spare antifreeze in my truck for his computer :hehe:.....plus if you get a leak ....well..you get the point ..lol.....might make a cool spark show ....lol

Gigabyte, and MSI and both good brands. Asus is probably my favorite brand. As for CPUs both AMD and Intel have 8 core processors now. I dont see alot of differences between them.

As for water cooling, If its done properly it can be effective but the effectiveness isnt enough to justify the cost and the pain in the a$$ it is to set up. Only reason to use it IMO is cool factor.

Asus makes great quality Mobos. Is this gonna be an extreme gaming or just a good all around system?

Even though I know nothing shematics wise, I still will be watching this because I still love playing on them!

PS, Awesome looking tower shell!

Niiice.

I would've thought you'd go for something a little sleeker. Easier to clean.

My last PC build, was also the best PC I ever had. I choose components that were passively cooled. Mother board and graphics card both had huge heat sinks on them. So did the Ram. CPU was cooled by a Zalman cooler with a large 120mm fan. PSU also had a single 120mm fan.

It hardly made a noise, best Windows machine I ever had.

I've been a computer tech for 11 or 12 years now and a huge computer nerd for at least 5 years before that and after listening to server fans for the last 12-13 years I dont even hear the noisiest Desktop PCs anymore lol.

Huh!! What did you say GW???

I was on tanks in the army and spent my fair share of time around server farms. Oh, did I mention I was into car audio??

It's the full size tower versus mid size. Newegg carries every case imaginable, and I've been shopping around for about a month. I was about to pull the trigger on a different mid size case then spotted this one. I just think it's beautiful, plus it already comes with a few fans and places for others. The bays are all tool-less installation, and the 5 bay HDD cartridge comes out as one complete unit. Besides, it looks really, really cool, and after all that's the reason for everything I buy. :D

Here it is with the side cover on...

It also has the 15 in 1 card reader which my current comp has and I need that for the GoPro video and my Nikon cards. Here it is showing the top panel with the sliding cover open. There are also power buttons to turn certain fans on or off. Besides, it looks so cool. :D

Did I mention that I think it looks SO cool?

This is what I've selected for my power supply unless someone has another recommendation. My current comp is 350W and this is 750.

I've never used Rosewill power supplies, looking at their feedback it doesn't look to bad. I have however used Corsair, Cooler Master, and Enermax (which I love!) and would suggest checking out this power supply as well: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171036

One of my favorite features on my current Enermax is the modular design, similar to the Cooler Master I linked above. Instead of having to route and hide un-used power supply cables you simply unplug the unused cables from the power supply. Keeps the case neat and tidy.

How about THIS for a mother board? All opinions are welcomed.

WoodiE, I might go for that since I almost got a Cooler Master case. They seem like a first rate company.

I especially like that feature.

Here is what I would personally use. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817379005

I hate using anything other than modular PSUs.

Cooler Master, Zalman, Antec, and Thermaltake are all first rate companies for PSUs.

As for the MoBo its nice.....Make sure you put an 8 core i7 processor in there :)
