Anyone else following the retrial of Andrea Yates, the woman who drowned all of her children in 2001, then called 911, all while her husband was at work?

I have to admit, it's a fairly interesting case they have. Typically I would have a very Monty Python-like, "She's a witch, burn her!" reaction because, how in the hell can you kill your own children? But having read a few CNN-like articles and doing some quick research on post-partum psychosis, I can at least understand how an insanity plea can be justified. Likewise, though, having read that her psychologist warned her specifically about having a fifth child because of the psychological ramifications, yet she went ahead and did so anyway, shows a disregard for her current and future children. It's a selfish move, in my opinion, to bring a child into the world knowing the ramifications to that child could be detrimental. The one question I have regarding her last child is, why didn't the father just not come through on his end (no pun intended)? If my high school biology is still true, takes more than ovulation to produce a child, right?
I suppose I'd like to see her get the treatment she obviously needs, but to never have the ability to bring another child into the world. Although I am a proponent of the death penalty, this would be one instance I would not push for it.
I'm just curious what other thoughts may be out there.
