there is no way an import can beat american muscle straight up even if they spray muscle all the way. 69 camero 350 mexican block with n02. thats what my father has.

Well When I was like..9 maybe ten my friends Big brotheer took us to school. It was like a scene out of Dazed and confused.. anyways it was a 68-69 firebird or camaro.

It had red paint with white stripes, a hood scoop "mag" wheels, and some fat tires on the back.
He had 4 6x9's with a "quadraphnic" 8 track blaring Back in black", long feathered hair(long before the mullet), and believe the car was way louder than the stereo.

The memory of that thing will be burned in my mind forever. That was the first time I had ridden in a car without an "adult".... American Muscle. I liek the imports with turbo but somethign about an 8 cylinder growl just gits it for me.

I am a v8 Muscle man FOR LIFE and would never own a import (Not because I dislike them, but because there to small and I wouldnt like to work on somthing I dont know anything about) but I know ALOT of "Ricers" thatd smoke damn near anything out there. I have a buddy who drives his Eclipse as a daily driver and runs mid 9's on the weekends.. The car is INSANE!! Id much rather drive a Old school Metal Sled, but gotta give them some props on being quick. Even if they do have to use "Cheat Juice" Like No2.

Also why does everyone have 69' camaro's? Whatd they make like 15 million of them cars that year?? Christ, you go to any car show up here and theres rows and rows of them cars. There allright cars, (Not my cup of tea), but man, why so many?

I'm not talking like the third gen or second gen camaro's I'm talking about the first ones, the reallly nice ones. Here we go a pic or two of the classic american muscle.. I also like the roadrunner. This one here is a dead ringer for the one my friends big brother had.

Ebay Camaro

I own a 93 integra ls with a coldair intake and "fart can" as many of you put it and i like it but would trade it in a heartbeat for a 69 Dodge charger R/T with a 440-6 pack under the hood, the 69 camaro and the 82 are the only chevys i would like to own, my oldest brother owned a 64 and a half mustang, and after that he had a 69 grand prix j-model with a 400, it was seriously fast, it got sold to my other brother and he did some work on it and it ran low twelves, btu liek i said nothing can replace the power of huge v-8 at your fingertips, or should i say toes

A 1969 camaro z28 with an 8/71 blower on top of a 396 big block and 22 in. wide mickey meats putting all that power to the ground. AMERICAN MUSCLE BABY!!!!

THE ENZO FERRARI? OR PERHAPS THE PORCHE CARRERA?
That is my dream car. I love american cars but I also love my import. I have 98 acura integra which is my daliy drive that run 12.75 on 91 oct gas with full inter. and still gets 350 miles to a full tank about 12 gallons. I also have a crx that has a h22a motor that runs 10, My girlfriend a mitsu eclispe turbo that boost 17 psi and it is a real blast to drive. All of my cars have stock exhaust. My brother-in-law has a 1000 horsepower eclispe that he just built. I am on both sides of the fence on this one. anything with a motor that can be wrench on I am down for it

I realy like both, but I have only owned VW's with the only exceptions being a Voyager and my wifes Ranger. I would go import over the lead sleds. I like the best all around cars, and muscle cars are not the best daily drivers. My dads old 72 imperial w/440 way a gas HOG.But REALLY fun.

Dont get me wrong, 4 cylinder honda engines put out alot for only 4 cylinders and under 2.5 liters. Now a Honda Prelude 4 cylinder H22 engine can put out over 200 horses at the flywheel, that means to match a V8, that V8 would have to put out over 400 horses, and alot of V8's do. So its really a toss up, because with the Imports, they are technologically advanced their powerband are alot nicer, and the new V-TEC and VVTI and all that Variable Valve Timing crap is nice for fuel efficiency, but i would take a American Muscle anyday. Imports are good for autocross, but thats it. I'm sick and tired of hearing the weed-whacker powered hondas zipping around town. My ears relax when i hear the not-so-gentle rumble of a Camaro, Firebird, or even Mustang roll past those stupid rice-rockets. Keep those things in their plastic cases, and go out and buy a real car.
