When the awards nominations first started, there was a category for the funniest thread and another for the most helpful thread. There are SO many of them throughout the year that we wouldn't be able to find them, so those categories were dropped.

Oddly enough, I'm sure there was never a 'funniest' thread that hadn't been derailed a dozen times before it was over. That's what makes them so interesting.
It's just a good thing this isn't a railroad forum. We'd be in serious trouble.
